あらすじ・解説

Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant reveals how some people work less, earn more, pay less in taxes, and learn to become financially free. Have you ever asked yourself:

  • Why do some investors make money with little risk while most other investors just break even?
  • Why do most employees go from job to job while others quit their jobs and go on to build business empires?
  • What does the shift from the Industrial Age to the Information Age mean to me and my family?
  • How can I use this change to my best advantage and chart my path to financial freedom?

Cashflow Quadrant was written for you if you are ready to…

  • Move beyond job security and begin to find your own world of financial freedom
  • Make significant changes in your life
  • Take control of your financial future

"The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money… but never learn to have money work for them." (Robert Kiyosaki)

Great Book

Everyone said that it’s so repetitive and to stay away from it if you already read RDPD. But you definitely still learn a whole lot more reading this. I would recommend this book for any Investor just starting to get into the game. If you’re super experienced, I wouldn’t see much additional information for you.

Everyone should read/listen to this book - period!

The rich have a totally different set of rules and (fiscal/financial) laws that they live by. And it is not discriminating. Every person can choose to life on the E (employee) and S (self employed) side of live where they are taxed heavily and always struggle to stay on top or on the B (business owner) and I (investor) side of life, where true freedom is possible.

This book is read in such a way that it's almost as if you can hear Robert Kiyosaki read it himself. Which is great of course. Great combination of great writing (in speaking-style) and performance of narrating it for us.

Very easy and pleasant to listen to and it changes your persective on society and really makes you think and want to start changing stuff.

I recommend you play the online version of Cashflow 101, the online game, after listening to this book.

A Repeat

Any additional comments?

Pros: Introduces the Cash Flow Quadrant
Neg: Too much of the audio is filled with famous sayings and stories of success found in his other financial books. I would have paid the same price for the book even if it were 1 hour long without all the extra fluff (repeated items).

Not my first, but my last book by Kiyosaki.

I'll keep this short. This book, like all the others I've read by Robert convey a few general concepts. My issue is that this book could literally be a tenth it's current length. It's the same information, over and over and over. Furthermore, if you general knowledge of wealth management, then this book isn't for you. It's as simple and general as they come.

A bit repetitive

As much as I like Robert and his books, this book is repetitive and only emphasizes old principles learned in previous books.
Also, the narrator makes me want to sleep.

Good but could've been better

The book contains a lot of interesting lessons and insight into who we are as well as help you see where you want to be more clearly.
However the problem with the book is there is a lot of repetition. A lot. The book could've been written in less than half the space and not loose a single lesson or even single sentence. 😐

Not great

I don't usually write reviews. The information in this self help book is mostly motivational, with almost no actual business, accounting, or other scientific knowledge. He gives a bunch of lists and creates a ton of categories with no evidence that any of it is true. You get tired of heading the quote, "my Rich Dad says this" "my friends say this" etc. Just part of a marketing machine Kiyosaki has created to progress his own wealth

Quick! Put out as many books as you can

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Substance. I came for the cashflow quadrant theory and was subjected to hours of other fluff I did not need. For a man who claims to have done poorly in accounting and cared little for it, he spends an awful lot of time giving out financial advice pertaining to the finance field. The guy has written 24 + books. Either he is the most astute financial mind to ever walk this earth or he's just churning out books for the hell of it. I am going to bet on the latter.

Good continuation of Rich Dad Poor Dad

Would you consider the audio edition of Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant to be better than the print version?

What did you like best about this story?

This had more detail, and I found it to be more motivating than RD/PD.

Which scene was your favorite?

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant?

It's time to evaluate whether I intend to stay in the E (Employee) quadrant, or move to the B (Business Owner) or I (Investor) quadrants.

Interesting, but not much information added

Would you try another book written by Robert T. Kiyosaki or narrated by Tim Wheeler?

If you have read "Rich dad, poor dad", you will find a lot of repetitions here. There is not much information added, and it was a bit disappointing to re-listen (or re-read) the same concepts and examples. However, it you are just starting on this path it is useful to repeat and consolidate ideas that could be totally new for you. Download it just in the last case.

Did Tim Wheeler do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

The narrator is very good. Clear pronunciation and good pace.

A great follow on, worth the money!

This book is a great follow on from Rich Dad Poor Dad. It does go more in depth into financial systems and it helps to have an understanding of things such as GDP before you listen. However, that knowledge can be acquired along the way if you're interested enough to learn it. There are enough basic concepts in the book for the nitty gritty bits not to get in the way of learning if you dont understand it.
There was quite a bit of referring to things that were mentioned in the first book which some may see as repetitive but I dont feel it was too much.
All in all it was very worth the credit I used to pay for it and I would reccomend the book.
I'm off to listen to it again!

A different world

The world described in this book - a world the author believes everyone should aspire to - is not a world I wish to live in.
Yes, I would like to be more financially secure. But after listening to this book I realise I honestly, truly do not want to be 'rich', in the sense the author means.
I find this world abhorrent. It's the world of Macdonalds and Trump. I have never aspired to that level of wheeler-dealing, and I would rather die than be that kind of person.
It might or might not be possible to reach such 'heights'. I have no intention of trying.
The author thinks that to be self-employed is worthless and somewhat pathetic, unless you have a business employing at least 500 people.
I'm exhausted just listening to it. I'm going to stop now, it's wasting my time - I've work to do!

Part of the problem I have with the book is that it's primarily geared towards Americans. Most of the assumptions about income, tax, benefits, political situation... are rellevant only to the USA.
It might suit ambitious, ruthless, executive types whose only ambition in life is to earn a lot of money for money's sake without a care as to who or what it hurts, or the environmental consequences.
For me, I just want to be financially free to live a simple life. You can keep your boardrooms, private jets and oilfields, thank you.

Cashflow Quadrant

I have read a lot of Robert Kiyosaki books and I am highly impressed and learnt from them. This book, Cashflow Quadrant, is no exception. I first read the cashflow quadrant book, and then i bought the audiobook and listened to it.. I found it a lot easier to just listen to this audiobook on my laptop, Smartphone and other devices. I listen to this audiobook very frequently and it keeps me going in my desire to become my own success. This audiobook is very motivational. There is nothing better than been able to listen to this type of message in a relaxed mood from your Smartphone or laptop. Thank you Mr Kiyosaki.

Every penny worth

Every penny worth

I love the readers voice

The 4th of roberts books I read

And when people say they are too long, too many stories, too much repeating.

I know those people never will be rich because they are not taking anything in! In their thick head. Just flaming because they dont understand the mindset of the rich. So they instead use brainpower on making up criticism lol!

His books are the most well written and easy understandable I have ever read/herd.

Easy to listen to.

I am someone stuck in the rat race wanting a change. I commute 3 hours a day to work which limits time for reading. I was able to utilise that time to listen to this audio book. I have a better understanding of where I am and where I want to be, and how I start the journey to get there. Cheers

Good book with good insight on investing

I enjoyed this book. It offered good tips on investing and reaching financial success. Although i think it's more focused on investments within America and around their taxation laws. But overall you'll learn something from this book.

Loved the book. Very thought provoking and inspiring to transition to the Business and Investor quadrants.
