  • YOU SHOULD HAVE TURNED AROUND: But Then You Would Have Missed the Story
    2026/06/11

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, I share the story of our first camping trip of the year and the unexpected lesson hiding inside all the chaos.

Because while this episode starts with camping disasters, it quickly becomes a conversation about something much bigger:

The gap between the life we planned… and the life that's actually happening.

    We'll explore:

    • Why unmet expectations create so much frustration
    • How quickly we decide an experience is "ruined"
    • The stories we end up laughing about years later
    • How reality always wins the argument
    • And how a simple shift in perspective can completely change the way we move through difficult moments

This episode is filled with humor, relatable stories, real-life examples, and a reminder that sometimes the moments that go completely sideways end up becoming the moments we remember most.

So if life has handed you a broken tent pole lately...

    This episode is for you.

🎧 Because sometimes the best stories aren't the ones that went according to plan.

They're the ones that absolutely did not.

    Reflective Question:
What if the thing you're frustrated about today becomes the story you laugh about tomorrow? 😊

  • EMOTIONAL RECOVERY: Why Healing Can Feel Like Failure
    2026/06/04

    Send us Fan Mail

    Let’s be honest…

Sometimes, emotional recovery doesn’t feel peaceful.

    It feels frustrating.
    Uncomfortable.
    Guilty.
And for a lot of people… it can even feel like failure.

In this episode, we’re diving into the reality of emotional exhaustion, nervous system depletion, burnout, and what happens when your body finally says:

    “Enough.”

    We’re talking about:

    • Why slowing down can feel emotionally unsafe
    • The difference between laziness and depletion
    • High-functioning survival mode
    • Emotional “freeze” states
    • Guilt around rest
    • Why healing often feels worse before it feels better
    • …and how recovery rarely looks the way people think it will

This episode is deeply honest, highly relatable, and created for the people silently wondering:

“Why can’t I just get it together?”

    You are not broken.
Your system may simply be exhausted.

And maybe… your body isn’t failing you.

Maybe it’s finally communicating with you.

    Keeping It Real, Jamie Lynn

    MICRO-WIN TOOL

    Instead of asking:
“What huge thing did I accomplish today?”

    Ask:
“What did I do today that supported my nervous system even slightly?”

    Maybe you:

    • ate something nourishing
    • rested before total burnout
    • stepped outside
    • asked for help
    • paused instead of spiraling

    __________________________________________________

    REFLECTION QUESTIONS

What if my exhaustion is not failure?

What if my body isn’t betraying me… but communicating with me?

Who taught me that slowing down meant weakness?

What if healing doesn’t look productive because it’s rebuilding something deeper?

    And maybe the biggest one…

What if I stopped judging myself for where I am…

and started listening to what my system has been trying to tell me all along?

  • STUBBORN OR PROTECTING: How Do You Know?

    Send us Fan Mail

Let’s be honest… have you ever dug your heels in so hard… only to look back later and think,
“Wait… why was I so resistant to that?”

In this episode, we’re diving into the difference between stubbornness and self-protection, and how easily the two get confused.

Because what if you’re not stubborn… what if you’re protecting something?

Or… what if you’ve been calling it “self-protection” when it’s actually fear keeping you stuck?

    We’re breaking down:

    • What stubbornness really means
    • The 3 types most people don’t realize they’re operating from
    • The science behind why your brain resists change
    • When holding your ground helps you… and when it quietly holds you back
    • A fun, real-time self-test to explore your own patterns
    • And a simple tool you can use in the moment to shift your awareness

This episode isn’t about judging yourself.
It’s about understanding yourself on a deeper level.

    🎧 Get ready for a little honesty… a little humor… and a lot of self-awareness.

    Keeping it Real,

    TOOL - The 3-Second Check-In

This is something you can use in real time.

When you feel that resistance come up…

    Pause.

    Just for a second.

    And ask yourself:

    1. What am I feeling in my body right now?
    2. What might I be trying to protect?
    3. Is this coming from fear… or alignment?

    That’s it.

    No overthinking.

    Just awareness.

    Because awareness creates choice.

  • GENERATIONAL SHIFTS: What Nobody Wants to Admit
    2026/05/07

    Send us Fan Mail

What if the younger generation isn’t lazy…
What if they’re just seeing things more clearly?

In this episode, inspired by a powerful conversation on A Bit of Optimism featuring Dr. Eliza Filby, I’m diving into the real conversation most people are missing.

    We’re talking about:

    • Why “lack of hunger” might actually be emotional awareness
    • How a completely different world shaped every generation
    • The truth about Gen X—the latchkey kids who raised themselves and are now holding everything together
    • Why younger generations are redefining work, not rejecting it
    • And what happens when we stop judging and start understanding

    This isn’t about picking sides.
It’s about seeing the full picture.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated, confused, or even judged across generational lines… this episode will give you a new lens to look through.

Book: How Unplugging Almost Killed Me

    🤔 Reflective Questions
    • Where in my life have I labeled something as “lazy” instead of trying to understand it?
    • What beliefs about work did I inherit… and are they actually true anymore?
    • Am I expecting others to operate from a reality that no longer exists?
    • Where might someone else’s “lack of effort” actually be self-protection?
    • And the big one…
Am I living in alignment… or just continuing what I was taught?

🔧 Tool: The Perspective Flip Exercise

I want you to try something different.

    Step 1:
Think of a judgment you’ve had recently.
Maybe about someone else… maybe about yourself.

    Step 2:
    Flip it into curiosity:

    • What might they be protecting?
    • What might feel unsafe or pointless to them?

    Step 3:
    Now bring it inward:

    • Where have I done this in my own life?

Step 4 (this is the shift):
    Ask yourself:
What becomes possible if I stop needing them to be wrong?

    Send us Fan Mail

Ever notice how the smallest things can throw you off more than you’d like to admit?

A message that didn’t land right.
Wi-Fi buffering at the worst time.
Getting interrupted mid-thought… and now it’s gone forever.

It seems small… but the reaction? Not always.

In this episode, I'm calling out the everyday, slightly ridiculous things we all do, and why they actually make sense when you understand how your brain works.

We’ll laugh a little, be honest about it, and then take it a step deeper… because it’s not just about the moment, it’s about the patterns behind it.

And once you see it… you can start to shift it.

    This episode is personal.

I’m sharing where “Identity Rebel Chic” came from… what it means…
and why it might not be what you think.

Because this isn’t about being loud, aggressive, or going against everything.

It’s about recognizing what was placed on you… beliefs, expectations, identities… that were never truly yours. And having the courage to release them.

    We’ll talk about:
    – The story behind Identity Rebel Chic
    – The intention behind the word “Chic”
    – What it actually looks like to “rebel” in a grounded, self-respecting way
    – And what I’m building next, including my next book and women’s group

This one is honest, real, and meant to bring you back to yourself.

  • ARE THEY BEING FAKE… or Just Wearing a Different Hat?
    2026/04/16

    Send us Fan Mail

Are people being fake… or are they just showing a different version of themselves?

Because the truth is… we all wear different “hats” in life.
    At work.
    With friends.
    At home.
    On vacation.
    In routine.

And somewhere along the way… we started questioning it.

    Is this real?
    Is this authentic?
    Can I trust this?

In this episode, we’re breaking down:
    – Why we naturally shift behavior depending on the environment
    – The difference between being adaptable and being inauthentic
    – How to recognize intention vs perception
    – And what to come back to when you start questioning someone else

Because at the end of the day… you don’t control how others show up.

But you do have full responsibility for how you respond.

This one is grounded, honest, and designed to help you come back to yourself,
    especially in moments of doubt.

    Keeping it Real,

    Jamie Lynn (& Daniel)

    🎯NLP CORE TOOL

“Hat Check → Intention → Choice” Pattern

    Use this in real time:

    1. Hat Check

“What version of them am I seeing right now?”

(work, stress, friend, defensive, tired, etc.)

    2. Intention Check

“What might their intention be, based on what I can see?”

    (not assumptions, observable behavior)

    3. Self-Check

“What is my experience right now?”

    (feelings, body, reaction)

    4. Choice

“How do I want to respond in a way I respect later?”
