• How Can I Shift From Monologue into Dialogue?
    2023/09/21

We begin by grounding and orienting together followed by continued exploration of being in relationship to others by looking a the difference between monologing and dialoging.

Have you ever listened to someone and had the felt sense that they were talking at you rather than with you? Have you ever been listening to someone recognizing your formulating your reply more than you're listening to them?

Today we look at how the experiences of the questions above are examples of monologue. We then look at some common beliefs people hold about practicing dialogue as well as a process to support you in engaging dialogically with others.

Rather than criticizing, silencing, or succumbing to our inner critic, we can listen to them and offer compassion.

We then explore a practice for cultivating self-compassion.

  • Grief is Part of Healing: Recognizing the Ambiguous Losses that Come with Growth
    2023/08/24

We begin by grounding and orienting together followed by a recognition that ambiguous loss and grief are part of the healing process.

Even when we move toward our desire, we let go of and lose something. For self-growth, I think of the equation change=loss/loss=grief/grief=growth

In this episode, we name that grief is not a problem to solve or fix. Grief often is comprised of a wide array of emotions. We explore the many emotions that can come with grief and also look at the spiritual gift that these emotions offer when we listen to the emotions.

  • Becoming a Compassionate Witness...to YOURSELF
    2023/08/17

We begin by grounding and orienting together followed by recognizing our inner monologue and a part of ourselves many refer to as the inner critic or inner critical parent.

What is my inner critic's purpose and how can I learn to listen differently to that part of myself?

Often our inner critic or inner critical parent speaks up out of fear. This part waves a flag when they sense we're in danger. Sometimes we (and this part) believe we need their harsh words to accomplish tasks or even fit in.

Rather than criticizing, silencing, or succumbing to our inner critic, we can listen to them and offer compassion.

We then explore a practice for cultivating self-compassion.

What is the difference between stress and stressors AND Why is that important?

  • How to Notice and Track Your Energy Levels
    2023/08/03

We begin by grounding and orienting together followed by an exploration and practice for cultivating awareness.

Do you notice when your cup is full or almost empty?

It is not uncommon for people to get to the end of the day and feel completely exhausted, drained, or depleted. When they look back at the day, no specific moment may stand out. In fact, what replenishes and nourishes us one day or one time of the day may deplete us on another day.

Taking time track your energy and observe when you've felt filled and when you've felt depleted can assist you in becoming aware of your own energy experience.
