  • Ep #8 - How To Close The Gap Between You And Your Plant Based Weight Loss Goal
    2026/07/13

If you have been doing everything right with your plant based diet and still not getting the results you want - this episode is going to help you understand why.

Many people who are stuck with their health & weight loss goals are not stuck because they are not trying hard enough.

They are stuck because the thing that is actually standing between them and their goal has never been properly identified.

Sometimes we don’t understand how these habits can inhibit our results, and sometimes we are so close to our own habits that we just don’t realise we’re doing them.

    IN THIS EPISODE:

    • Why most people who are stuck are working on the wrong problem
    • What the research shows about long term weight loss success - and why so many people rebound
    • My client’s story
    • How to get clarity for yourself to close that gap

  • Ep #7 - How To Stop Quitting On Your Weight Loss Goals When Life Gets Hard
    2026/07/08

This episode is for anyone who’s been having a tough time - relationship stuff, life stuff, work stuff, anything - and has found themselves using food or anything else to cope with feelings they don’t know what to do with.

Not to shame that. To offer something different.

In this episode Kerryn Sawyer talks about what it actually looks like to allow the hard feelings - without food, without alcohol, without anything that leaves you further from the person you are trying to become.

    In this episode:

    • Why food becomes such a powerful escape when life gets hard - and why it never actually resolves anything
    • What is happening in the brain when the reach for food kicks in during stress
    • Why the circumstance is never the real source, the story your brain is producing is
    • The skill of feeling instead of eating - and why it is the most powerful thing you can build
    • Why waiting for life to calm down before focusing on your health is keeping you stuck
    • What it looks like to stay on track - not perfectly, but consistently — even when everything else is hard

  • Ep #6 - Body Hunger vs Brain Hunger & How To Tell Them Apart
    2026/06/29

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Have you ever eaten when you weren’t genuinely hungry - and wondered why you could not stop yourself?

It is not a willpower problem. Your body has a sophisticated biological hunger system. Your brain has a completely separate reward-driven system.

And when the brain’s system is running the show - it generates urges that feel exactly like hunger but are not.

In this episode Kerryn decodes both systems, explains what drives brain hunger, and gives you four practical tools for telling the difference in the moment.

    In this episode:

✔️ The biology of true hunger - ghrelin, leptin and the body’s natural signals

✔️ What brain hunger is and what triggers it

✔️ Why stress makes your brain mimic starvation

    ✔️ The Broccoli Test

✔️ The 20-minute craving arc and the PAUSE

✔️ The question underneath every emotional urge

✔️ How to start rebuilding trust with your body

  • Ep #5 - How to Eat Large Portions and Still Lose Weight - The Calorie Density Method
    2026/06/22

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

What if the key to losing weight on a plant based diet wasn’t eating less - but eating differently?

Calorie density is the most powerful and yet most under-taught concept in sustainable fat loss. And in this episode Kerryn explains it completely - the science, the scale, and the simple PLANT Powered Plate that makes it practical every single day.

Kerryn shares her personal story of discovering this concept through her own whole food plant based journey - and how it finally explained why the weight had shifted so easily without counting, tracking or restricting.

    In this episode:

    • What calorie density is and why it is the most sustainable fat loss model
    • The calorie density scale from vegetables to oil - and where everything else sits
    • What cooking and processing does to food’s calorie density
    • Why smoothies are fine and juices are not - the fibre distinction
    • The PLANT Powered Plate walked through letter by letter
    • Why this beats calorie counting for long term consistency and results

  • Ep #4 - Why Too Much Restriction Often Backfires (And What to Do Instead)
    2026/06/15

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Have you ever cut your calories hard, lost weight, eased up even slightly - and watched it all come back?

You probably blamed yourself. Most women do.

But that pattern is not a willpower failure.

It is a physiological survival response that your body has been refining for hundreds of thousands of years. And once you understand it, everything changes.

In this episode Kerryn explains exactly what happens inside the body when you restrict too severely - the adaptive mechanisms, the hormonal shifts, the famine response - and what to do instead to create weight loss that actually lasts.

    In this episode:

    • Why the restrict-rebound cycle is a survival mechanism, not a personal failing
    • The savings account metaphor that makes it all click
    • The science: adaptive thermogenesis, leptin, ghrelin, and set point theory — explained simply
    • 3 client examples of restriction, struggle, then success with a different strategy
    • The calorie density approach: working with your body, not against it
    • Key takeaways and practical next steps

  • Ep #3 - How Venetia Lost 20lb After a Lifetime of Emotional Eating
    2026/06/08

In this episode I sit down with my client Venetia for one of the most honest, raw and powerful conversations I've had on camera.

A lifetime of yoyo dieting never got to the root cause of why she put on the weight.

But once that became obvious, the real work began, and now she’s 20lb lighter.

Venetia had been vegan for years.

She thought she was eating healthy because it was plant based.

She cared deeply about her health. But the weight wasn’t shifting.

She didn’t feel like a great advertisement for vegan living!

What she didn’t realise… She might’ve been “vegan”, but she wasn’t eating for fat loss.

Plus she didn’t even realise she was using food and wine regularly to comfort herself at the end of the day.

Adopting a PLANT Powered Plate was only the first step.

The real work was shifting the patterns underneath that led to inconsistency and emotional eating.

Now a lifetime of emotional eating has dissolved!

WHILE going through an extremely stressful personal challenge.

Life didn’t get “easier” - she got stronger from within.

THAT’s what built consistency, and what’s led to steadier and more consistent fat loss every week.

Her energy is returning. Her clothes are getting looser.

And she’s regained her self confidence and inner power.

This is not a polished before-and-after.

It's a real woman, mid-journey, telling her truth.

    WHAT WE COVER:

→ Why being vegan for years didn't solve the weight problem

→ The childhood roots of emotional eating and fear of hunger

→ How a stressful home environment was driving her eating - without her realising

→ What shifted when she started working on the internal piece alongside the food

→ The Plant Powered Plate and 1lb of vegetables a day - what that actually looks like

→ Identity work - moving from feeling lost to being powerful woman with standards

→ How she lost 20lbs while going through a stressful break up

You've tried losing weight using willpower. You've tried motivation.

And every time life gets hard, both disappear - and you're back where you started wondering what's wrong with you.

Nothing is wrong with you. You've just been using the wrong tools.

  • Ep #1 - Why You're Not Doing What You Know You Should Do
    2026/05/25

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Episode One of Transform With Plants - and the question I get asked more than any other:

Why am I not doing what I know I should do?

You know what to eat. You have probably known for a while. So why does the gap between knowing and doing feel so impossible to close?

In this episode Kerryn teaches the CTEAR model - the exact framework she uses with her coaching clients to explain why your brain works against you, why willpower always loses, and what is actually driving every choice you make around food and your health.

    IN THIS EPISODE

    • Why the gap between knowing and doing is never about willpower
    • The CTEAR model: Circumstance, Thought, Emotion, Action, Result
    • The motivational triad - how your brain is wired to seek pleasure, avoid pain, and conserve energy
    • Why two women can approach their goals with different mindsets and have completely different experiences and results
    • A client story that might sound uncomfortably familiar
    • What Kerryn will be covering in future episodes of the podcast
