Praise The Lord everyone! I'm glad to be back after a long absence and to give you this word about being still and hearing from God has to say. Being still in God's presence takes time and practice, but in time we will learn that silence brings revelation, clarity, instruction, direction, peace and a desire to please God.

I love praying and talking to God, but I'm learning to listen as well. We pray for answers, guidance, healing, deliverance, etc and God is answering our prayers, but are we listening? When was the last time you sat in silence and just listened? Please begin to implement time in God's presence and just listen. God bless.

About a year ago, I ministered on this topic and God reminded me again that I needed to revisit it and let people know he is mindful of us. With so much uncertainty, we can be certain in God's protection, provision, love and care for each of us. So much is going in right now in our lives, and we need to know that God is near to the brokenhearted and contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

I love the way God repeats his word to us over and over again in case we missed it the first time or forgot about it. He sends it again to let us know he has us in the psalm of his hand. The more you hear it, the more we remember it so when tough times come or when we are challenged in the face of adversity, just remember God is mindful of you and loves you dearly.

Nothing God does is small. He created the world in seven days. That's no small task. He sent his only son Jesus to die for the sins of the world. That's certainly no small thing. And to top it all off, he raised his son from the grave and gave him all power and authority. Nothing small about that. God takes what we have and makes it into something more. He takes our lack, inadequate funds, small faith and turns them into big blessings.

As we approach Ressurection Sunday next week, let us reflect on the big God that we serve that does amazing things. He sent Jesus to us to take on our sins and in his name we have authority over the enemy. We serve an amazing God who continues to do amazing things in us and through us. Happy Passion week and let us reflect on the passion of our Christ.

God's timing is perfect. He is always on time. Even when we are going through challenging situations in our lives and we feel like God is late, he is still on time. We may not understand his timing or his ways, but He knows where we are and when he needs to show up for us.

Look at the story of Abraham when God told him to sacrifice his only son Isaac. At the moment when Abraham was going to drive the knife into his son's chest, God spoke to him. Stopped him from doing it. He was only seconds away from doing it and God prevented him for doing so at the right moment. His timing is impeccable.

So many examples in the bible where God showed up right on time. Another one is in the book of Daniel where God showed up for Daniel in the lion's den and in the three Hebrew boys thrown in a fiery furnace. Wow! Literally, right on time and sometimes he will arrive a little bit early for us if the situation calls for it.

Hang on in there my brothers and sisters. He's coming and when he does come, he will not tarry! Continue to wait on Him and have faith. He will show up for you!. Count on it!

Praise the Lord everyone! Thank you again for joining me for this week's message "it's not What it Looks Like." Sometimes, we can have distorted views about our life and how things should look. God spoke to me and told me that I needed a spiritual eye exam and that I've been looking at my situation all wrong. He told me that I've been looking at things to happen a certain way, and it may not happen the way I want it to happen, but it will have.

I want to encourage you to pray and seek God about your situation and ask him to give you an eye exam. Your vision is blurred and may be time to get some new contacts. Ask God to open your eyes to see things how he would see them, not how you see them today. It's time for a spiritual eye exam.

For this second message of this new year, I was lead by the Holy Spirit to read the story of the Prodigal Son as told in Luke 15:32 who left home to find his own way. As I was reading this man's story, it brought many things to my attention: the first being why did the son want to leave home. Why did this particular young man who seemingly had a good life: food, clothes, money, shelter, love of family, et al go in search of something different. What more did he need? What was he searching for that he didn't have at home?

As we read this story, we learn so much about this man's past and present and how the tendency to handle things on our own and carve our own path has tempted many of us. I"m sure at some point in all of our lives, we have had a rebellious spirit to branch out on our own and make our own path. We get tired of rules and living right, so to speak, and want to see what else is out there that we could be missing out on.

Please know that there is only one right path that leads to life and that is through Jesus. He is the way , truth and life. This story teaches us that our way leads to destruction and following after Jesus and his will leads to life.

This week's message is a challenge for me and one that I am praying about every day and that is to take my hands off my situation and allow God to put His hands in it. By removing my hands, I am surrendering to God's will and plan for my life. It is not easy because I like to be in charge and be in control of things. Surrendering to God is the opposite of that.

I've heard and seen real life police footage of police arresting someone and advising him to show his hands. Sometimes, the officer will tell the patron to put his hands on the steering wheel or to exit the vehicle their vehicle with his hands up. Why is that? The officer wants to see their is no weapon in the patron's hands. The officer wants to see a person in complete surrender because when you surrender, it signifies submission and obedience. In that same way, Jesus requires us to do the same. It is necessary we surrender our Will so God will be done . Take your Hands off and allow God to put his hands into your situation and watch Him move for you.

Happy 2024 everyone. I pray this year will be filled with God's blessings for your life and you will experience growth in every area of your life: spiritually, financially, physically and emotionally. There is a saying that we need to embrace the woman within and I want to tell you that we need to embrace the "seed" we came from. The bible states the kingdom is God is like a seed planted in the ground. That seed is the word of God. The earth hangs on His word and will end with his word.

In the first message of this year, I want to focus on this seed planted when God spoke "let there be" in Genesis 1. This seed formed the foundation of this world. It formed cattle and all the birds of the air and God said the seed would produce after its kind, meaning a cow seed will produce another cow, horse seed will produce another horse, et al. Same thing with plants and vegetation. If we plant watermelon seeds, we will get watermelon. We will never plant a watermelon seed and produce an orange.

The seed produces after its kind and likeness in its original nature. It is the same way with mankind. God's creation is amazing. David said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are thy works. There is so much to unpack from the understanding of planting a seed and how it works, which is in and of itself miraculous. We can plant the seed and water it, but God allows it to grow and produce for us.
