Good evening everyone,
This week's message is a challenge for me and one that I am praying about every day and that is to take my hands off my situation and allow God to put His hands in it. By removing my hands, I am surrendering to God's will and plan for my life. It is not easy because I like to be in charge and be in control of things. Surrendering to God is the opposite of that.
I've heard and seen real life police footage of police arresting someone and advising him to show his hands. Sometimes, the officer will tell the patron to put his hands on the steering wheel or to exit the vehicle their vehicle with his hands up. Why is that? The officer wants to see their is no weapon in the patron's hands. The officer wants to see a person in complete surrender because when you surrender, it signifies submission and obedience. In that same way, Jesus requires us to do the same. It is necessary we surrender our Will so God will be done . Take your Hands off and allow God to put his hands into your situation and watch Him move for you.
