  • What I Wish People Knew About POTS | A Short Screenplay Reading
    2026/07/31

Today's episode is a little different. Instead of talking about POTS, I'm sharing an original short screenplay I wrote to raise awareness about POTS Syndrome and invisible illnesses through storytelling.

If you've never listened to a screenplay before, you may hear me say the word "SUPER." In screenwriting, a SUPER(short for superimposed text) is text that appears on the screen for the audience to read, such as a date, time, location, or an important message. Since this is an audio format, I'll read those moments aloud so you can experience the screenplay as it was written.

Whether you live with POTS, know someone who does, or simply want to better understand invisible illnesses, I hope this story offers a new perspective and reminds us that not every struggle is visible.

Thank you so much for listening and supporting The POTS Perspective.

  • Original Script Series | Part 2
    2026/07/10

Welcome back to Part 2 of my original screenplay reading! Before we jump in, I have a couple of quick notes.

🔊 The audio in this episode is a little quieter than usual, so you may want to turn your volume up for the best listening experience.

📖 During the screenplay reading, the mother's name is Cathy and the father's name is Donovan, just in case you need a reminder while following along.

Thank you so much for listening and supporting this series. I hope you enjoy Part 2, and I'd love to hear your thoughts after you've listened!

  • A Different Side of Me: Film, Writing & Creativity
    2026/06/19

In this episode of The POTS Perspective, I'm sharing a different side of myself.

Although I often talk about life with POTS, I'm also a film student and aspiring storyteller. Surprisingly, I didn't grow up obsessed with movies. It wasn't until COVID that I discovered a love for filmmaking by watching documentaries about how movies are made and learning about all the incredible people who bring stories to life.

In this episode, I share how a music video I created in high school helped me choose film over cooking, how I fell in love with storytelling, and why writing has become such an important creative outlet for me. Plus, I'm giving you a sneak peek into the screenplay I'm currently working on by reading a short excerpt.

Whether you're passionate about film, writing, or simply discovering new parts of yourself, I hope this episode inspires you to pursue what you love.

✨ Thanks for listening to The POTS Perspective!

    2026/05/15

In Part 2 of my Puerto Rico birthday trip, I talk about the part of the vacation where things started to change. What began as a relaxing trip quickly turned into a POTS flare-up after dehydration, heat, sugary drinks, stress, and pushing myself too hard started catching up to me.

I share what happened, how I handled traveling home while feeling sick, and the biggest lessons I learned from this experience.

If you live with POTS or another chronic illness, this episode is a reminder that even when you know your triggers, it’s still easy to fall behind when life gets busy or exciting. Learning your limits is part of the process.

  • What I Thought Was Normal (But Wasn’t)
    2026/03/20

For years, I thought the symptoms I experienced were normal — feeling dizzy when I stood up, having a racing heart for no reason, constant fatigue, and nausea, especially before performing.

I told myself it was anxiety. I told myself to push through it. I thought I just needed to be stronger.

In this episode, I’m sharing the things I normalized before being diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), how it affected my experience in dance, and what I’ve learned looking back.

If you’ve ever felt like something was off but didn’t have the words or answers for it, you’re not alone.

What’s something you thought was normal… but wasn’t?
