  • "Behind the Smile: When the Strong Suffer in Silence" With Practicing Dentist and Life Coach, Jaren Argyle
    2025/07/08

On this episode of the StayMENtallyStrong Podcast, I’m joined by Dr. Jaren Argyle—a practicing dentist, certified life coach, and powerful voice for men’s mental health in the dental and healthcare world.

Dr. Argyle is the founder of The Elevated Dentist, a coaching program designed not only to help dentists grow successful practices—but to help them stay mentally well while doing it. As Chair of the Utah Dental Association’s Health & Wellness Committee, he’s made it his mission to break the silence around mental health—especially for men in high-pressure, high-performance professions.

In this conversation, we dive deep into the hidden emotional toll of dentistry and healthcare, and how unrealistic expectations, isolation, and unspoken pain are silently impacting thousands of men in the field. We talk about the warning signs, the daily stressors, the cultural stigma—and what it takes to protect your mental health before it’s too late.

As someone who lost my husband, a talented orthodontist, to suicide in 2024, this topic is personal. But it’s not just my story. It’s happening every day, behind closed doors, in lives that appear “successful” from the outside.

This episode is for every man who feels like he can’t break. For every professional suffering in silence. And for the families, friends, and coworkers who want to help but don’t always know how.

Let’s open the conversation. Let’s change the culture.
    Let’s Stay Mentally Strong—Together.

  • "The Why to Stay" with Pam Sharp, Mother and Suicide Loss Survivor
    2025/06/01

In this special episode of the StayMENtallyStrong Podcast, I sit down with Pam Sharp, a mother, grandmother, and fellow mental health advocate who knows the heartbreak of losing a loved one to suicide all too well. In 2020, Pam’s 16-year-old son, Sam, took his life, and since then, she has bravely shared her story to bring light to the silent struggles so many face. I first discovered Pam through a video of her twin sons returning home from their LDS missions to attend their brother’s funeral. It struck a deep chord with me—my own son had just come home following the loss of his father, my husband, to suicide. From that moment, I felt a connection to Pam’s story and her heart for healing.

In this conversation, we talk openly about grief, the signs we wish we had seen, the depth of loss, and the hope we’ve found in using our pain to help others. Pam and I are both navigating this journey of turning tragedy into purpose, and we’re here to remind anyone listening who might be struggling: you are not alone, and there is always a reason to stay. This episode is about real stories, real pain, and real hope—and our shared mission to break the stigma around men’s mental health, one honest conversation at a time.
