TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses personal experiences with OCD which may be sensitive or triggering for some listeners.
Welcome to another episode of 'PLEASE EXCUSE MY OCD.' Today, I’m joined by my friend Erin Jones! Erin Jones, LCMHC is a therapist at Bull City Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center based out of Durham, NC, where she specializes in OCD and related disorders. She works with kids, teens, and adults. She is a member of the International OCD Foundation and has led multiple OCD walks in North Carolina. Through her journey to become an OCD specialist, Erin learned more about her own lived experience with OCD and anxiety, which she uses to help others "live an ERP lifestyle". Outside of her work and advocacy, she loves to spend time with her family, read, and find new restaurants to try.
As always, I am not a therapist, these episodes should never take the place of medically trained advice. If you are struggling, please seek advice from a trained medical professional.
Each week, join me as I delve into the realities of living with OCD. From personal anecdotes to real world insights, this podcast is a perfect blend of encouragement, tools and honest conversation.
