    Weekend Is Here. Not Fate, But Reason.

    Doctor Murphy highlights how he was exposed to the Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. He shows how that you can control only what you can control. Madness is not to be blamed for that which occurs based on reason. The collapse of the banks was not controllable. But it could be controlled for. If you are going to put money in a bank it should be under the limits of FDIC. The businesses needed to diversify. Unfortunately they needed to operate in the limits of those who invested in them. Stating it another way, the only thing you can control is your mind. You can influence your body. But you cannot control your cells. Apply reason this weekend and recognize maybe madness is not madness but instead it is in keeping with reason.

    In this episode Dr Murphy explains the simple fact that running away is not the ideal solution for life. Instead, take a vacation from your life, inside your mind.  Why run away When you can at any moment retreat to your own soul. The key to meditation and mindfulness is being willing to learn to slow things down. Why get into debt when you can merely take the time to encounter nature and experience the calming nature of meditation. Take the time this weekend to learn about transcendental meditation.

    Weekend Extra: The Plight of St Patrick

    Dr Murphy highlights the plight of the Irish and the amazing kidnapped child slave who would return to his captors' island to bring them peace and grace. Rather than burn down the fields of his captors he forgives them and through it, spreads Christianity to a pagan people in need of hope and salvation.  Saint Patrick, never canonized, is the reason for this weekend and the festivities that abound. Despite being an Orangeman, Dr Murphy highlights the life of the Patron Saint of Ireland.

    Dr Murphy Highlights the keys from Epictetus on how to calm the soul to understand that turbulence is just that, troubles. It does nothing to change your skills, it does nothing to change who you are. Respond to troubles properly, remember your aims. As we watch Banks collapse and the beginning of perhaps a stick market crash, remember this does nothing to change who you are.  Keep your soul still and have a wonderful weekend
