Ik wilde het liefst gewoon naar het land gaan en het in de praktijk leren. Veel leuker dan die saaie boeken.Exactly! I'd much rather just go to the country and learn it in practice. Much more fun than those boring books.Maarten: Dat is ook de beste ervaring, natuurlijk. Je leert zoveel sneller als je het elke dag moet gebruiken.That's also the best experience, of course. You learn so much faster if you have to use it every day.Lisa: Ja! Als ik nu een nieuwe taal zou leren, zou ik direct een taalmaatje zoeken. Of vrijwilligerswerk doen. Iets actiefs.Yes! Dat je actief wordt en een bijdrage kunt leveren, al is het maar iets kleins in je buurt. Dat is goed voor je zelfvertrouwen.Exactly. That's good for your self-confidence.Lisa: Ik had een keer een project op mijn werk met een collega die hier net woonde. Maar gelukkig kun je in Nederland vaak nog wisselen van niveau als het te makkelijk of te moeilijk is.It really is. It does determine your future a bit. But luckily, in the Netherlands, you can often still switch levels if it's too easy or too difficult.Lisa: Dat is wel goed geregeld. Stel je voor dat je op het verkeerde niveau zit. Lijkt me echt niet leuk.That's well-arranged. Imagine being at the wrong level. That really doesn't seem fun to me.Maarten: Nee, daarom is dat advies aan het einde van de basisschool ook zo belangrijk.
