  • Mistakes That May Have Helped Hold Onto My Belly Fat
    2026/10/14

I was putting all this pressure on myself to hit a specific target—and I wasn't meeting it—I thought I was failing. To change this, I had to set goals to match my behaviour, not just outcomes.

You have a choice: Hold onto your past failures and bad thoughts about what you've done—or didn't do. OR you can focus on yourself now and how awesome you’ll be in the future.

    Inspiration:

    Atomic Habits by James Clear

Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV): "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

  • This Is My Season!
    2026/09/10

    Show Notes

    This Is My Season

What if the thing you've been waiting to do doesn't need to wait any longer?

In this first episode of Gale Force Hope, I'm sharing why I've decided that this is my season to take action.

I'm 54, starting at a size 18, and I'm not interested in another “lose X pounds” promise that leaves me feeling like a failure. Instead, I'm focusing on health, gratitude, joy, and learning how to be kinder to myself along the way.

I'll be sharing the wins, the setbacks, the things I learn (I love research and science), and probably a few things that make us laugh along the way.

If you've ever found yourself saying, “Someday I'll...” — maybe this is your season, too.

Your challenge: Think of one big goal you've been putting off. Write it down. Then choose five tiny steps to get started.

It's time to let the winds of change blow.

Bible verses: Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV and Isaiah 43:19 NIV.
