    This week's conversation is from the Book of Business. This is one I had to pull from the archives. This isn't your typical real estate success story. I had the pleasure of sitting down with a good friend of mine Deontae Posley aka @theroommateinvestor. Deontae breaks down how at age 31 he created a multi-million real estate business by literally renting out single bedrooms. And how he manages it while still working a 9 to 5. He also speaks to this principle he called "the natural progression". As defined by me, Natural Progression is the concept of how things naturally unfold when you commit to something.  If you stay in your lane and follow your conviction, you will inevitably succeed.

    The key is to commit, keep your head down, and just move. His goal is to help others get into real estate and be smart in the beginning. Whether you are interested in getting involved with real estate, or just looking for overall gems, this episode is for you.

    This week's conversation is from the Book of Life, and I am pulling from the chapter "How to be focused aka God's cheat code for productivity". In recent weeks, I made a very tough decision to hyper-focus on one part of Beyond the Resume. At one point, I was trying to build everything in a day but grew more frustrated as I headed down that path. One of my gifts is that I am hardworking and anything I focus on, I typically see it through. Whether it was earning my master’s in 18 months while taking care of a family of 4, moonlighting as a realtor and getting my first transaction within months while working my engineering job, pledging my fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha during my undergrad years, and so on - I typically accomplish what I put my mind to.  However, this last season taught me a few things about not relying on my natural abilities. This season I have learned a deeper meaning of not leaning on our understanding and how we can create false idols aka big egos. Now I understand what it means to go at the speed of peace. It is better to focus on one thing and hear the words well done, versus work on 5 things and never meet the finish line. - - - - Who is Patrick Croffie? I am a father, a husband, a son, a friend, a certified life coach, an encourager, a teacher, and above these things – a believer. I want to help you, the listener, to understand your gifts and the purpose God has for you. He has a plan for everyone.     In today's episode, I want to remind you that you possess everything you need to move into the next season but there are things we must shed.  We must shed fear.   We need to understand the perfect will of God is already in works and there is nothing we need more. And lastly, we need to know we do not need permission to move forward.

    One of my favorite coaching moments in the Bible is between God and Moses. In Exodus chapter 14: 15, Moses for a split second forgot about all the power God equipped him with. In this scene, Moses is stuck between the Egyptians who are looking to harm the people of Israel, and the Red Sea. As the Egyptians are approaching, Moses turns to the sky and calls on God.  But in this moment God didn’t respond with "my faithful servant" or "my most devoted", he responded with a question and command " Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on."

    Like Moses, I believe God is telling many of us to Just Move!   There is a season for fasting and praying, and there is a season for action. I believe many of us are in the season for action but are waiting for permission. I submit to you that this next season is Green Light Season. Just move until God says otherwise.
