 This week's conversation is from the Book of Life, and I am pulling from the chapter "How to be focused aka God's cheat code for productivity". In recent weeks, I made a very tough decision to hyper-focus on one part of Beyond the Resume. At one point, I was trying to build everything in a day but grew more frustrated as I headed down that path. One of my gifts is that I am hardworking and anything I focus on, I typically see it through. Whether it was earning my master’s in 18 months while taking care of a family of 4, moonlighting as a realtor and getting my first transaction within months while working my engineering job, pledging my fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha during my undergrad years, and so on - I typically accomplish what I put my mind to.  However, this last season taught me a few things about not relying on my natural abilities. This season I have learned a deeper meaning of not leaning on our understanding and how we can create false idols aka big egos. Now I understand what it means to go at the speed of peace. It is better to focus on one thing and hear the words well done, versus work on 5 things and never meet the finish line. - - - - Who is Patrick Croffie? I want to help you, the listener, to understand your gifts and the purpose God has for you. He has a plan for everyone.
