    2025/05/01

This week, we're diving into a topic that might be weighing you down—quite literally! We've all been there—You wake up, drag yourself to the mirror, and you have a puffy marshmallow face. You waddle over to the bathroom scales, you look down, and you think, 'What the f**k happened here?' Was it that post-leg day Domino's binge? Or maybe it was that second salted caramel brownie you just had to have yesterday? Well, don't worry, my bloated friends, because today, we're gonna explore how everything from diet, hormones, illnesses, medications, and even your favourite salty snacks can turn you into a human sponge.

Each week, we're diving headfirst into the absolute circus that is healthy eating—fad diets, myths, and all the fitness nonsense. I'm here to cut through the crap, no sugarcoating, maybe a bit of oversharing, and, unfortunately, the odd bad pun.

  • EP.04 - Breaking Barriers: Why Women Should Lift
    2025/04/17

This episode is dedicated to women's strength training. Firstly, I’m kicking things off by stomping out the age-old myth that if women pick up a barbell they will bulk up like bodybuilders. I discuss the science behind muscle development and explain why this fear is unfounded. I address the common misconception regarding testosterone levels in women. I will also look at the issue of trolling, double standards, and criticism women often face when embracing strength training. This episode, addresses the positive health benefits that come with women's strength training, from improved metabolism, enhanced bone density, and a reduced risk of chronic diseases. Not to mention the bonus of improved mental health, a better mood, and Beyonce levels of self-confidence. Strength training is more than just lifting weights; it's a discipline that shapes our inner strength and equips us to tackle life's challenges with determination and resilience.

  • EP.02 - Myths: Part One
    2025/04/03

Welcome to Episode 2. In this episode, I'll be debunking fitness myths. First off, I'm taking a sledgehammer to the whole 'toning' nonsense, emphasising that it's about having muscle and low body fat. And then there's this spot reduction nonsense, the idea that you can magically melt fat from a specific area by targeting it. Salt gets a rebrand; salt can be your ally if you use it wisely, and it can help you perform at your best. Eggs, those little powerhouses of nutrition. They were once cast as villains, but now they're the heroes of the story. Eggs are packed with protein and nutrients that can do wonders for your body. And finally, the whole "no eating after 8 PM" myth, It's not about the clock; it's about balancing those calories throughout the day.

Each week, we're jumping headfirst into the absolute circus that is healthy eating—fad diets, myths and all the fitness nonsense. I'm here to cut through the crap, no sugarcoating, maybe a bit of oversharing, and unfortunately the odd bad pun.
