Today we interview a mentor of mine and speak on all things body issues and physical fitness and the complexities in between. I learned so much in this interview about how men struggle with body issues just as women do. We all are human and all have room to grow. 

Here is the exercise/tool we created!

-Look in the mirror, notice how you feel/what you say to yourself, counter the subconscious  judgment with three positives. Do this for thirty days and see how you grow in love and kindness towards yourself.

Our new season is kicking off with an incredibly beautiful interview with my sister...Lucy! She tells her story about always saying yes to others but not to herself. 

I also was surprised how being the interviewer made me see my sister's past experience in a different and more humble light. Family and friends are so close to us that we do not realize that we have missed major traumatic events in their life. However, the retroactive apology and support can be just as healing.

The second season is here! New year, new season...here are the major changes:

-Our next season will include a mix of solo and group interviews and my personal episodes as well all on the topics of vulnerability, hardship, growth, and resilience...the raw and the honey

-We also have changed our name from raw honey to raw&honey co. for licensing purposes and changed our photo and intro/exit song

-Finally...we have opened an online website that sells raw honey merchandise and is a touch point for all things raw&honey co including links to our Spotify, YouTube channel, and Patreon account

-The merchandise and Patreon accounts serve to fund the podcast so we can avoid episode ads...because those are not fun to listen to...

Family...we have known them our whole lives, but we do not know most of their day to day lives.

Before your next family gathering, take the time to reflect on where you are at and what you need. Show up and channel that into connection with others and be curious on where they are at and how they have changed. Take family gathering as a chance to learn and not affirm others. I learned this through experience, of course, and I am grateful for it...curiosity cures.

I have always appeared as a strong and confident person. I do believe it is something I have a higher tendency for, but that makes it all the more important for me to be forthcoming with my humanity. Being strong and confident should be because I am facing my humanity and not because I am pretending it does not exist.
