  • Need Some Inspiration? 3 Books For Yoga Teachers
    2026/08/04

This week on Yoga Insider, I'm reflecting on summer holidays and sharing some book recommendations for yoga teachers from my personal collection.

    FOR NEW YOGA TEACHERS

The Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele

This is such an approachable & practical introduction to Classical yoga philosophy and it's applications to modern life and everyday challenges.

FOR YOGA TEACHERS WHO WANT TO FEEL INSPIRED

The Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche

This is a poetic interpretation of a medieval Tantric text & the essence of these sutras is really about fully embracing the human experience rather than dissociating from it. I love the imagery that these sutras evoke!

MY FAVOURITE TRANSLATION OF THE BHAGAVAD GITA

The Bhagavad Gita Comes Alive: A Radical Translation by Jeffrey Amstrong

For yoga teachers seeking a decolonized translation of the Gita that preserves Sanskrit terms and encourages readers to study the deeper meanings behind them rather than defaulting to inadequate words that distort the original meaning.

  • Unconventional Things I Do in My Yoga Business
    2026/07/28

This week on Yoga Insider, I'm sharing some slightly unconventional (and maybe even controversial) ways I run my independent yoga business.

I think it’s important to share examples of what running a sustainable yoga business looks like and to be transparent about the decisions I’ve come to after teaching yoga for almost 15 years. My intention with Yoga Insider is to be real with you, and part of that involves pulling back the curtain and analyzing what it takes to build a yoga business that thrives.

In this episode, I'm discussing how my personal philosophy as a yoga teacher informs my pricing and business structure, even if it goes against the grain.

  • I Did the Thing That Scared Me... One Year of Yoga Insider
    2026/07/21

This week on Yoga Insider, I'm celebrating one year since the podcast trailer episode was released. One year of podcasting every single week is not a small feat - it's been a year of experimentation, learning new skills on the fly, and keeping the bigger picture at the forefront in order to stay consistent.

On this week's episode, I'm getting personal about some of the fears and apprehensions I felt around starting a podcast, along with the growth that was waiting for me on the other side.

Whether you've listened to one episode or all of them, I'm so grateful that you're here and I hope you've found little tidbits of value and inspiration for your yoga business along the way.
