I’d love to hear from you

    Episode 12

    Safe Enough To Finally Exhale

Over the past 12 episodes, we've explored the emotional side of fertility struggles that often goes unspoken.

    The loneliness.

    The survival mode.

The grief that has no name.

    The questions that change everything.

And the quiet ways we can begin to find ourselves again.

In this final episode of Series 1, I'm talking about something I've been building towards throughout the entire series:

The possibility of feeling safe enough to exhale.

    Not because everything is fixed.

Not because the journey is over.

But because there is another way to move through uncertainty, grief and waiting without losing yourself in the process.

If you've ever felt like you've been holding your breath through this journey, this episode is for you.

  • Healing Through Fire and Water:
    2026/07/24

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

    Walking Through The Fire

"Healing is walking through the fire and then coming back carrying water for the women still trapped inside."

When I first heard that quote, it stopped me in my tracks.

In this episode, I'm exploring what it means to be changed by experiences we would never have chosen.

Not because infertility, loss or heartbreak are gifts.

Not because everything happens for a reason.

But because sometimes the experiences that ask the most of us also shape what matters most to us.

I share reflections from my own journey through infertility, miscarriage, IVF, pregnancy loss and the year I lost my voice, and how those experiences ultimately became the foundation for the work I do today.

If you're in the middle of the fire right now, this episode is a gentle reminder that you don't need to have everything figured out.

You don't need to find meaning in it.

You don't need to know how your story ends.

For now, you're allowed to simply take the next step.

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

Staying Silent: The Year I Lost My Voice

For years, I believed I just needed to find the right answer.

    The right treatment.
    The right appointment.
    The right piece of information.

I was so focused on fixing what felt broken that I never stopped to ask how I was really doing.

    Then a virus changed everything.

After years of struggling with infertility, I suddenly lost my voice. A virus partially paralysed my vocal cords, leaving me unable to speak properly for almost a year.

At the time, it felt like yet another thing going wrong.

But looking back, I can see that it became one of the biggest turning points of my life.

In this episode, I share the story of losing my voice, what that experience taught me about slowing down, self-compassion and the mind-body connection, and how it ultimately led me to create The Fertility Sanctuary.

This isn't a story about finding a silver lining.

It's a story about what happened when life forced me to stop long enough to finally listen.

If you've been pushing through, carrying everything alone, or feeling disconnected from yourself, I hope this episode offers you permission to pause and ask a different question.

  • The Questions that changed everything

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

The Questions That Changed My Life

Throughout my fertility journey, I spent years searching for answers.

    Answers about treatments.
    Answers about symptoms.
Answers about what would happen next.

I thought finding the right answer would help me feel better.

But what ultimately changed my life wasn't an answer at all.

    It was a question.

In this episode, I share one of the most difficult moments from my fertility journey, the questions that helped me see myself and my situation differently, and why asking a better question can sometimes be more powerful than searching for another answer.

    Together we'll explore:

    • What do I need right now?
    • What is within my control today?
    • What would I say to a friend in my position?
    • And three powerful journalling questions you can take away and reflect on yourself.

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or trapped in an endless cycle of "what ifs", this episode is a gentle invitation to pause, create space, and reconnect with your own wisdom.

  • The body as a battleground
    2026/07/14

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

When Your Body Feels Like The Enemy

Fertility struggles have a way of changing the relationship we have with our bodies.

    Appointments.
    Tests.
    Scans.
    Results.

Over time, it's easy to move from:

    "This is something I'm experiencing."

    to

    "Something is wrong with me."

In this episode, we're exploring what happens when your body starts to feel more like a problem to solve than a place to call home.

    We'll talk about:

    • Why fertility struggles can create feelings of disconnection, frustration and distrust towards our bodies
    • The impact of being reduced to numbers, results and diagnoses
    • Why your body has not been failing you
    • How self-compassion can become the first step towards rebuilding trust

This isn't about forcing yourself to feel positive.

It's about creating space for a gentler, more compassionate relationship with yourself and your body, exactly as you are right now.

If you've ever felt angry with your body, disappointed by it, or disconnected from it, this episode is for you.

  • What being a Midwife taught me and what my own journey showed me
    2026/07/10

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

Why This Work Matters To Me

Before I was a fertility coach and doula, I was a midwife.

I spent years supporting women through pregnancy, birth, loss and some of the most significant moments of their lives.

I understood the clinical side of fertility and reproductive health.

But what I didn't yet understand was what it felt like to live it.

In this episode, I'm sharing more of my own story and why supporting women through fertility struggles, pregnancy loss and reproductive trauma has become so deeply important to me.

    We'll explore:

    • The difference between understanding infertility professionally and experiencing it personally
    • The emotional realities of infertility, miscarriage, IVF and pregnancy loss
    • Why medical support matters, but isn't always enough on its own
    • The gap that so many women and their partners fall into when the emotional impact of fertility struggles goes unseen

This episode is a reminder that you are more than a diagnosis, more than a treatment plan, and more than the outcome of your journey.

    You are a whole person.

And you deserve support that honours all of you.

If you've ever felt like the emotional side of your experience wasn't fully understood or supported, I hope this conversation helps you feel a little more seen.

  • Why we need sanctuary more than solutions
    2026/07/07

I’d love to hear from you

    Episode

Why We Need Sanctuary More Than Solutions

Fertility struggles can quietly become a full-time job.

    The research.
    The appointments.
    The symptom spotting.
    The supplements.
The endless search for the thing that might finally make a difference.

And whilst information, treatment and support all have an important place, what happens when we become so focused on solving the problem that we forget to care for the person living through it?

In this episode, I'm exploring the idea that perhaps what we need isn't always another solution.

Perhaps what we need is a sanctuary.

    A space to pause.

    To breathe.

To reconnect with ourselves beneath the pressure, uncertainty and constant searching.

    We'll explore:

    • Why fertility struggles can pull us away from ourselves
    • The hidden cost of constantly looking for answers
    • How creating space can lead to powerful shifts in perspective
    • Why your wellbeing matters just as much as your fertility journey

If you've been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way, this episode is a gentle invitation to come back to yourself.

  • The Grief Nobody Names
    2026/06/30

I’d love to hear from you

    You're Not Falling Apart.

You're Carrying Too Much For Anyone to Bare.

There is a kind of grief that often goes unspoken during fertility struggles.

Not the grief of a single loss.

But the grief of loss that accumulates over time.

    The waiting.
    The uncertainty.
The hopes that rise and fall daily, weekly, monthly.
The version of life you thought you'd be living by now.

In this episode, we're talking about the emotional weight of fertility struggles and why so many women end up believing they're not coping well enough, when in reality they've been carrying far more than anyone can see.

    We'll explore:

    • The cumulative grief of fertility struggles
    • Why your exhaustion makes sense
    • The impact of prolonged uncertainty on your nervous system
    • Why emotional support is not a luxury, but a necessity
    • How small moments of rest can help you reconnect with yourself

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or wondering why this journey feels so hard, this episode is a gentle reminder that there is nothing wrong with you.

    You're not too sensitive.
    You're not weak.
    And you're not falling apart.

You're carrying something incredibly hard in a world that isn't fully awake to what you're going through.
