    2024/08/11

In this episode of The Green Goddess Society podcast, I share 11 perspective shifts that saved my mental health during college. Many of you know that I started my undergraduate degree amid COVID-19 leading to extreme social isolation as a freshman at the University of Oregon. Throughout college, I have embarrassed myself too many times to count and have learned plenty of hard lessons about relationships and mental well-being. I hope this episode can provide you with some emotional relief or insight regardless of your stage of life.

  • My First Boston Marathon: Nerves, Training, and Challenges
    2024/04/19

In this episode of The Green Goddess Society podcast, I give a total unfiltered recap of my first time running the Boston Marathon as a 22-year-old collegiate marathoner. You may have heard that this year's Boston Marathon was a difficult one due to the relentless sun and a spike in temperatures. I was not willing to let that stop me from completing the distance even in the wake of my AirPods dying. Toward the end of the episode, I talk about how listeners can get involved in the marathon world and recommend some of the best courses to start on based on my experience so far.

  • Social Media: A Diagnostic Deceiver
    2024/03/21
Like-minded people often find their way to each other even on social media, so it's no surprise that mental health topics are one of the many ways individuals can find community. Mental healthcare has become more prioritized in research, patient care, and algorithms for the past couple of years coincidently alongside the development of social media itself. In this episode, we dive into the pros and cons of self-diagnosis, especially on social media, while discussing psychology. We will learn about the clinical diagnosis tools and the importance of labels and diagnosis for the patient's benefit. • Cats and Feminine Energy
    2023/12/07
Many individuals will claim they do not like cats because they are mean, but in reality, cats require more trust to be earned than dogs. This ability to protect boundaries is admirable and is a quality many women today find themselves seeking. In a world where consent has not always been considered required from women, the cat embodies an empowered individual who takes "no" seriously. Even the sheer fact that the majority of cats today are restricted to the home is reminiscent of the traditional gender roles of women being required to be homemakers. In this episode of the Green Goddess Society podcast, I discuss the historical context of cats within the spiritual world as well as their connection to female empowerment. 2023/09/01

In this episode of the Green Goddess Society podcast, I give a little glimpse into my history with religion and explain my beliefs today. This episode is a jumping-off point to open up a conversation about religion and beliefs. I discuss a time when I was dissatisfied with the message received from a religious leader as well as a time I might have started to doubt my faith in God. I use examples from nature, space, and the human body to explain how I see the enter key intricacies of God in daily life.
