  • Finding Hope in Gen Z's Spiritual Beliefs — Kasey Leander
    2024/04/30

Dr. Jeff is joined by Summit Ministries' new Program Director, Kasey Leander, to discuss what many will see as the surprising openness of Gen Z to hearing and learning more about God, as evidenced by research that found one-third of 18-to-25 year-olds are more open than not about the existence of a higher power. Leander offers evidence from his own experience evangelizing on college campuses that the rising generation is longing for answers to their biggest questions. And open to hearing about Jesus in pursuit of those answers. The key in witnessing to them, he says, is to recognize and act on the truth that outrage is not a strategy, and to lead with a question when aiming to start a God conversation.

  • What Makes a Great Marriage... and Why It's Worth It — Dr. Bob Paul
    2024/04/02

Dr. Bob Paul, vice president of the Focus on the Family Marriage Institute, explains what marriage is and shouldn't be in this discussion with Dr. Jeff Myers which may surprise some people. He acknowledges that one of the reasons young people of faith today may not want to wed is tied to the poor examples provided by some older married believers – who fail to let God direct their marriages in the righteous way he wishes. "The most common reason for divorce is 'irreconcilable differences,'" Dr. Paul explains. "But differences are never the problem in marriage. They are designed by God on purpose with purpose" to help us grow our character and Christlikeness as individuals who then help our spouses do the same.

  • America’s Storytellers — Kevin & Sam Sorbo
    2024/03/26

The stories we tell ourselves and believe shape our goals, priorities, and what the good life looks like. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus telling others about the truth through stories and examples. He knew that to transform individuals, they must see themselves as part of the Christian grand story of reality.

Kevin and Sam Sorbo join Dr. Jeff to discuss the centrality of storytelling and how it profoundly influences culture and individuals. They share the tremendous work they’ve been doing in producing quality films, books, and podcasts that are unafraid to share the truth and God's vision for a flourishing life.
