    The latest episode in our fun and laid-back podcast is Part 2 of our amazing chat with veteran actor Tony Bonner, AM. In this second episode, we chatted with Tony about working with the amazing Alan Rickman, Tom Selleck and Ben Mendelsohn, his most challenging roles, being buried alive, and some of his amazing upcoming projects, and so much more.

    Tony came from a theatrical background. His father was a leading musical actor and his mother a concert soprano. He started singing/dancing classes and auditioning. His film and TV career started in the early 60s. In the 70s, he returned to Australia where he still plays the lead in both mediums. Tony received an Order of Australia Medal (AM) for services to the arts and gained a lifetime achievement award at the Warner Brothers Studio on the Gold Coast in 2016.

    His notable film roles include Eyewitness (1970), You Can't Win 'Em All (1970), Creatures the World Forgot (1971), Inn of the Damned (1975), The Mango Tree (1977), Money Movers (1978), The Man from Snowy River (1982), The Highest Honor (1983), Quigley Down Under (1990), Dead Sleep (1990), Hurricane Smith (1992), and Liquid Bridge (2003). He has twice portrayed Australian World War I soldier Murray Bourchier, to whom he bears a remarkable likeness, in the 1987 film The Lighthorsemen and a 1993 episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (which also used footage from The Lighthorsemen).

    Tony currently resides in Sydney, and has been the president of the Manly Surf Lifesaving Club, he also teaches acting classes in his spare time.

    He was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division in the 2017 Australia Day honors for significant service to the performing arts as an actor, to surf lifesaving, and to the community through charitable organizations.

    In the upcoming second season of the acclaimed mini series ‘The Secrets She Keeps’, Kym plays the recurring role of Fleur Ajitkumar, a high ticket barrister, protecting her client through a murder trial. Her role as a savvy book publisher in ‘A Royal In Paradise’ is due for release early 2023.

    Previously, Kym played the series regular role of Neela, Queen of the Vikings in ABC’s $14M adventure pilot ‘Triangle’, alongside Mike Vogel and Edwin Hodge. She was also previously Detective Sims in 'Snitch' with Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon.

    Kym is currently living in Avalon Beach, and, after 7 rounds of IVF, she is thrilled to be finally enjoying life as the new Mum of a 5 month old.

    While shooting recently, she realised that booking acting work is the only way to get out of the house away from her loving husband and darling infant for more than a few hours at a time, so please throw her a role or two.

    Michael’s a TV and stage actor who many of you will know from his five seasons on HBO’s legendary series, “The Wire,” in which he played the unscrupulous gang attorney Maury Levy. In addition to more than 100 appearances on TV, there’s his stage career. Michael toured with “Les Miserables” and “The Producers,” and continues to perform in live theatre all over the US. He’s a teacher and author, and the creator of the popular Audition Psych 101 workshop which unpacks the psychological side of the audition process.     Welcome to Part Two of our first episode of The Cutaway Podcast, featuring the delightful Barry Duffield, in the second half we explore pitching and writing scripts, producing, DVD collections, lessons learned in acting, hanging out at Comic Cons PLUS so many more fun Spartacus moments!!

    Barry was a young boy growing up in Australia's Northern Territory when he fell in love with all things cinematic. His first job was as the projectionist in the Nhulunbuy cinema. It eventually led to a successful career as an actor, screenwriter, and now the author of his first graphic novel Deadman's Land, Tandoori Apocalypse, and Hellion Rising.

    He began his acting career in 1987, a career highlight was playing Lugo on the highly regarded and successful ‘Spartacus: Blood & Sand" TV series. Barry graduated from South Seas Film and Television School in 1997 with a degree in screenwriting and directing. In 2009 he was selected for the New Zealand Film Commission First Writers Initiative and served on the New Zealand Writers Guild Board as the Northern Regional Representative.

    His first novella "The Nowhere Man" is due out in 2022.
