    Research shows that chronic stress can be a major contributor to digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome or chronic heartburn. You can begin to heal your stomach/gut issues with just a few minutes of calming breath practice before and after meals. You can't digest optimally when you're in a state of stress because your digestion slows or even stops when you're in 'fight or flight mode' so that your body can instead focus all its internal energy on that perceived threat or danger. So, when you're stressed and you eat your digestion is interrupted, often causing discomfort and often chronic digestive issues. Let mindful breath ease your stomach pain!

  • Los Angeles: Let Me Help You Catch Your Breath & Relax

    It's been about a week since the fires began in L.A. and we've all been holding our breath in shock and devastation but now it feels like there's a tremendous mobilization of rescue efforts; food, clothes, logistics/next steps for those who have lost homes as well as those whose homes are still standing but not safe to live in yet. Action is good but pause needs to come first---grounding for a few minutes to restore your overworked 'fight or flight' nervous system. We can't heal while in a state of chronic stress. Pease take a few minutes of self-care and let's breathe together!
