The Fixx formed in London in 1979. Even today, most all the members are the original musicians who launched the band. In 1982, they landed on the U.K. and U.S. charts. Throughout the years, 13 of their singles could be found on music charts around the world. A historic event that helped launch Fleetwood Mac's career in the U.S. was their visit to Chicago in January of 1969, when they had an all-day jam recording session with many of the blues greats from Chicago. Jim Babjak and Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, who were formed in 1980, join us on this episode. Inducted in the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019, the band still tours and records today, since the passing of their lead singer/guitarist Pat DiNizio.
