Jim Babjak and Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, who were formed in 1980, join us on this episode. Inducted in the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019, the band still tours and records today, since the passing of their lead singer/guitarist Pat DiNizio. Hanging out backstage with them before they hit the stage, multi-award winning program director Ray White talked with them about their favorite Smithereens albums with Pat and the decision to use guest singers since his passing. These singers include Marshall Crenshaw, Robin Wilson (Gin Blossoms), John Cowsill (The Cowsills) and most recently Wesley Stace (John Wesley Harding).
