• 434 - Journey to Never Healing Alone - Introduction
    2026/05/06

This week, I'm doing something a little different. A little vulnerable.

My debut book, Never Healing Alone: How to Navigate Grief and Find Community After Pregnancy and Infant Loss, comes out next year (April 6, 2027), and you, this community, are the reason it exists. You are my "why."

So, before anyone else in the world hears it, I want to share it with you.

In this week's special episode of the Sisters in Loss podcast, I am sitting down and reading the entire, final introduction to the book, out loud.

This is the heart of the book. It's the story of my own losses, the "Great Disappearance" of care, the systemic failures, and the birth of the Healing Archetypes™. It sets the stage for everything we are going to heal together in these pages.

And because you are my most trusted community, I would be so honored to hear your feedback. As you listen, I want you to consider:

Does this sound like your story? When you hear me talk about the "Strong Black Woman" armor or feeling dismissed by doctors, do you feel seen?

What part hits you the hardest? Is there a specific sentence or story that lands in your spirit and makes you say, "That's it. That's the feeling."?

Who would you send this to? When you hear these words, who immediately comes to mind? A friend? A family member? Your therapist?

This is more than just an audiobook preview; it's an invitation. I want you to feel like you are part of this book's journey from my heart into the world.

After you listen, please send me a DM on Instagram (@sistersinloss) or reply directly to this email and let me know your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable as we prepare to share this medicine with the world.

🎧 Listen now to this exclusive first read of the Introduction to Never Healing Alone on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.

  • 433 - Bereaved Mother's Day - You are a Mother!
    2026/04/29

To the mother with empty arms this weekend: We see you. Your motherhood is real. Your love is valid. And your title is forever. 🕊️🤎

Sunday is Bereaved Mother's Day—a sacred, often quiet space carved out before the noise of traditional Mother's Day begins. It's a day that acknowledges the mothers whose babies are held in their hearts instead of their hands.

In this week's special episode of the Sisters in Loss podcast, we are holding space for the heaviness of this upcoming weekend. We're talking about:
✨ Why you don't have to be "strong" right now.
✨ The radical, necessary act of resting through your grief.
✨ How to use the "Power of the Pause" to protect your peace when the world feels too loud.

If you are dreading the days ahead, this episode is your permission slip to unplug, set boundaries, and simply survive it. You do not have to navigate this alone.

  • 428 - Overcoming Endometriosis After Losing Ovary & Fallopian Tube with Bria Burrell
    2026/03/25

Have you ever suffered from painful periods? Today's guest Bria Burrell has always had painful periods, and in 2015 she found out there was an cyst on her left ovarian. Her OB/GYN monitored the cyst for a couple of months, until it started to grow. In order to prevent the cyst from rupturing the OB/GYN performed a laparoscopic procedure in January 2016.

The cyst dominated the left part of Bria's pelvic cavity, and therefore, they had to remove her left ovarian and Fallopian tube, and during this procedure it was determined she had endometriosis. She had many complications from that surgery that left her bowel perforated resulting in her wearing a temporary colostomy bag. Bria takes us on the next steps of her journey to motherhood in this podcast where she undergoes fertility treatments and 2 rounds of IVF, that has resulted in two miscarriages.

This episode is for you to listen to if you have been diagnosed with endometriosis or have lost a Fallopian tube or ovary.
