  • #17 MAIN CHARACTER KA BA NG BUHAY MO?
    2026/02/27

In Episode 17, Ken-ken Somera and George Ramos break down what “main character” really means, not as “bida-bida,” but as ownership, clarity, and presence.

    We talk about:

    • Why self-focus isn’t automatically selfish

    • How people anchor happiness to other people (and why it hurts)

    • Why presence and confidence can be trained

    • How knowing yourself leads to better decisions and stronger boundaries

If you’re looking for change, start with one small step:
Five minutes. One question. One honest answer.

Salamat sa pakikinig. Kita kits sa next episode.

  • #16 "BUT WHY" (a Penguin Story review)
    2026/02/09

    “But why?” / "Pero.. Bakit?"

(ayan nilagyan ko na din ng tagalog)

    Episode #16

    SELF;TALK with Ken-ken Somera

This episode we discussed about the viral "Penguin" video na biglang humiwalay sa circle nya.

    Lahat sila papunta sa dagat,

    tapos siya,

    ayun.

    “but why?”

    At dun nabuo yung narrative

Biglang may possibleng drama. (depende din sa audio)

    Biglang parang may pinagdadaanan.

    Biglang parang may gustong takasan.

(based sa ibang mga reaction videos)

Pero what if… wala naman talaga?

What if normal lang yung nangyari, pero tayo yung naglagay ng meaning?

    In this episode, pinag-usapan namin:

Let's find learning with random videos lolz

    ~

    Listen~

Pause a bit and Relax your mind.

Remember to always ask better questions to yourself

    butt why? lolz

  • #15 Confidence on Command
    2026/02/01

    Can Confidence be Programmed?

Self Talk with Ken-ken Somera Podcast

    Episode #15

We talked about how confidence is a state you can enter, interrupt, and rebuild. Kapag naintindihan mo kung paano gumagalaw ang focus mo, memories mo, at internal dialogue mo, mas nagiging madali na mag-shift from kaba to clarity.

I explained that this is more of my approach with NLP and why "Confidence on Command works by using awareness, memory, and repetition. Kapag marunong kang mag-access ng strong states from your past or even imagined futures, your subconscious starts responding differently.

Napag-usapan din namin kung bakit practice matters and how the subconscious learns through association and repetition. The more you practice entering a confident state, the more natural it becomes. Over time, your mind stops asking “kaya ko ba?” and starts moving straight into system and action.

This episode is for anyone who wants to understand confidence beyond surface behavior, and start working with how the mind actually processes pressure, focus, and performance.

If you’re curious how confidence can be programmed, trained, and activated from the inside out, this episode will help you see it in a deeper, more practical way.

  • #14 Slave ka ba ng utak mo?
    2026/01/29

Most people don’t even question this, pero dapat ikaw ang master ng utak mo, hindi baliktad.

    Welcome to episode #14.

    * About getting older.

    * Missing certain versions of myself.

    * And realizing na yung mga ginusto kong mga past versions of myself ay hindi naman nawala at maaaring mga states na kayang ma access through NLP anchors.

    * malaking part ang awareness

    Because when you become aware,

    you gain choice.

    And better choices change everything.

  • #12 Mindset, Self-Talk, and the Invisible Programming Running Your Life
    2026/01/13

Mindset, Self-Talk, and the Invisible Programming Running Your Life

(Self Talk with Ken-ken Somera Episode #12)

    hindi motivation to.

    Enjoy~

    ---

    ---

    🔥 Ayan may Timestamps

    ⏱️ 01:22

“Hindi ito tungkol sa positive self-talk.

It’s about changing the narrative and gaining control.”

    ⏱️ 02:55 – 03:53

    “Most self-talk is neutral.

    ⏱️ 04:48 – 05:57

    Basketball example.

“Possible na hindi ko pa kaya ngayon.

Pero kung itutuloy ko to, gagaling ako.”

    Isang linya lang ang binago.

    Pero ang epekto?

    Quitter vs. learner.

    ⏱️ 06:22 – 07:29

    ⏱️ 08:48 – 09:16

    “You choose what influences you.

That’s how you gain your power back.”

    ⏱️ 11:36 – 14:07

    Music. Media. Content.

    “Ayokong sabihin negative.

    Mas tama: not useful.”

    ⏱️ 15:11 – 16:20

    Ito ang buod ng episode:

    “Awareness leads to control.”

“Before it becomes an emotion, it’s a thought.”

    Hindi ka helpless.

    Hindi ka powerless.

Hindi mo lang pinapansin ang pinanggagalingan.

🧠 Ito ang Gusto Kong Maiwan Sa’yo

    Manage what you consume.

    Hindi lang pagkain.

    Kundi:

    pinapakinggan mo

    pinapanood mo

    sinusundan mo

    paulit-ulit mong iniisip

  • Episode #11 Wala Lang (Men's Mental Health)
    2026/01/09

We walked into this episode with no script.

    No agenda.

    No big plan.

Tapos isang topic ang paulit-ulit na bumabalik-balik

(oo paulit ulit, oo paulit ulit)

    "Men’s mental health"

At habang tumatagal ang usapan, isang bagay ang nagiging malinaw samin:

    * Madalas, possibleng hindi ikaw ang problema.

    * Baka yung environment mo ang luma na and doesn't help you grow

    Environment na:

    * Hindi ka tinuturuan mag-open up

    * Hindi ka tinuturuan magtanong

    * Hindi ka binibigyan ng space para magbago

In this episode, I sat down with my good friend George Ramos, and we talked about the things men rarely say out loud:

Here’s the part na gusto kong tandaan mo:

    parang napaka hirap umusad.

    That’s why this conversation matters.

(o baka hahahaha)

It’s about recognizing when an environment has done its job,

and when it’s time to change it.

    After graduation, after adulthood…

This episode took months to record—literally. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I kept skipping it on my to-do list.

And ironically, that’s exactly what we talk about here:

    Inside this comeback episode:

    • Why most people can’t speak up around authority figures—and what to do about it

    • The missing skill in sales and interviews (Hint: It’s not confidence. It’s pattern exposure)

    • How betrayal affects trust—and the real reason mentors get burned

    • That awkward moment when you coach better than you record content 😅

    • Why your 1-2-3-count method might just be your next productivity hack

    • What to do when your thoughts run faster than your actions

    • PLUS: Are you being too nice… or just setting yourself up for emotional blackmail?
