Today marks Day 90 of Saints in a Year. That is three full months of walking this journey together, and I want to begin by saying thank you. Every view, every prayer, and every moment you choose to press play is a gift. Please know that I pray for you, and I humbly ask that you pray for me as we continue our mission toward 365 days.
Today the Church honors St. Gildas the Wise, a monk, priest, and historian who lived during a time of moral collapse and political chaos in early Britain. Known for his courage and clarity, St. Gildas spoke difficult truths out of love for God and concern for souls.
In this episode of Saints in a Year, Saul shares deeper reflections on the life of St. Gildas the Wise. You will learn how prayer and study shaped his voice, why he believed silence could be sinful, how he confronted corruption without fear, and why truth spoken in charity is always an act of mercy.
📖 Scripture
Ezekiel 33:7
“I have appointed you as a watchman.”
💬 Thought to Remember
Truth spoken with love is an act of mercy.
Reflection:
St. Gildas reminds us that love sometimes requires courage. Speaking the truth is not about winning arguments, but about guarding souls and calling hearts back to God.
🙏 Prayer to St. Gildas the Wise
St. Gildas the Wise,
faithful servant of truth,
pray for us.
Help us speak with courage,
love with clarity,
and remain faithful in difficult times.
Amen.
