Today, on Day 346 of Saints in a Year, we celebrate Saint Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint and a remarkable witness to Eucharistic devotion.

Born in London in 1991 and raised in Milan, Carlo was an ordinary teenager who loved computers, video games, soccer, and spending time with his friends.

But he also had an extraordinary love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

Carlo attended Mass regularly, prayed the Rosary, helped those in need, and used his computer skills to create an online exhibition documenting Eucharistic miracles around the world.

At only 15 years old, Carlo was diagnosed with aggressive leukemia.

He died on October 12, 2006.

Pope Francis authorized his beatification in 2020, and Pope Leo XIV canonized Carlo Acutis on September 7, 2025, alongside Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati.

His story reminds us that holiness is possible at any age and that technology can become a powerful instrument for evangelization.

Scripture

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever."

John 6:51

Thought to Remember

"The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven."

Carlo understood that holiness begins with Jesus, and that the Eucharist is at the center of our Catholic faith.

Prayer

Saint Carlo Acutis, help us fall more deeply in love with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Teach us to use technology for good, share our faith with others, and recognize that holiness is possible in our everyday lives.

Saint Carlo Acutis, pray for us. Amen.
