This podcast is for women longing for hope and healing in the midst of PMDD.

It focuses on helping you remember the truth and character of God and who you are in him when every cell in your body and mind is telling you to do otherwise.

It's about find our hope, strength and anchoring in Jesus through this thorn in the flesh called PMDD, while also seeking to alleviate suffering by aligning our lifestyle practices with how God designed and created our bodies.

This isn't a "I'm cured! Do exactly what I did". It's a "let's walk through this together, here's what I've found helpful along the way".

If we haven't met, I'm Lauren Collins, the host of this podcast! I've been a registered nurse for over a decade, and my passion ever since being diagnosed with PMDD has been to help women on their own journeys. I'm also a mama, follower of Jesus, lover of lavender and farmer's markets, and yes, someone who has dealt with PMDD since I was 16.

My goal with this podcast is to ultimately point you to Christ as the one who walks with you through your PMDD struggles, and to stick with him whether you find healing or you continue to struggle your whole life this side of heaven. I will bring evidence-based research to you regarding PMDD, provide encouragement through Scripture and prayer and have guests who will also cheer you on.

So glad you're here.

  • 108. What to do When Your Thoughts Are Telling You You're Useless
    2026/08/20

I think we can all agree this is a big one for us ladies struggling with premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Our minds play tricks on us that we're useless, lazy, have no purpose and that the world would be better off without out. That's a heavy blow to share, but it's really the reality that a lot of us face month to month.

So, how do we tackle these thoughts from a biblical perspective? Do we just allow the enemy a foothold on our mind and keep believing them, because it's the easy thing to do?

In this episode, I share a verse that has helped me renew and redirect my thoughts. It's a verse you've probably heard or read many times, but I want to break it down for you to help you use it against the thoughts and the lies that might be permeating each month.

    Let's jump into it.

  • 107. Replay from June 17th Live Training
    2026/08/06

    Happy August!

After taking July off for summer responsibilities and a family gathering, I'm back at the mic!

This week, I'm airing the replay of the live training I did back on June 17th. I talk about:

    - what it looks like to be dealing with premenstrual dysphoric disorder as a Christian woman

    - what strategies we can start implementing right now to help work through PMDD

    - and troubleshooting strategies if you're discouraged or hitting walls on your wellness journey

I'm hoping to do more of these in the future, so if you liked it, let me know! Or if there are things you'd like to learn more about or interact together about, also let me know!

Hope you find encouragement in this episode!

  • 106. Purity Culture, Shame & PMDD | with Ashley Hudson
    2026/06/18

This was such a great conversation with Ashley, as we delved deep into shame, purity culture and the message so many of us are believing based on how our brain operates.

I really feel this chat is so relevant to us ladies who struggle with the incessant voices of shame, condemnation and guilt in the luteal phase- particularly when it comes to shame around sexual sin or your past.

I hope this episode encourages you!
