I’ve been married to Rebecca for 17 years, and this conversation is one of the most personal and honest episodes I’ve ever recorded. We talk about what it really takes to build a strong marriage, especially when two people bring different personalities, patterns, expectations, and past experiences into a relationship. We share how our relationship evolved from conflict, disconnection, and even thoughts of divorce into the deeper partnership we have today and why commitment, self-reflection, listening, and learning to respond instead of react changed everything for us. We also get into parenting, homeschooling, and why disagreements in front of your kids aren't necessarily a bad thing if children get to see healthy reconciliation afterward. We discuss breaking inherited patterns and creating a culture of connection at home. This conversation is about realizing that change is possible. Rebecca has watched me become more emotionally open, present, and connected, and I've watched her grow in confidence and continue becoming the woman, mother, and partner she wants to be. I think it's a fallacy, and what I've observed in successful relationships over the years is that we need to get rid of the idea that relationships are 50/50. ~ Rebecca Phillips Resources: - Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1982149671 Connect with Warren Phillips: - Website - https://www.nontoxicdad.com/ - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/nontoxicdad/ - YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@nontoxicdad - TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@nontoxicdad
