  • #49: A True Homecoming, No Self-Abandonment: A 9-week Book Report
    2026/04/29

In this episode, I’m sharing some big takeaways from Homecoming by Dr. Thema Bryant.

This is not a traditional book review. This is a conversation about returning home to yourself.

Have you ever felt like you lost yourself somewhere along the way?

Many of us drift away from our authentic self. We adjust, we tolerate, we people-please, and we learn to survive… and we slowly lose connection with who we truly are.

You might be living in survival mode, but you can start to come back home to yourself.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • people-pleasing
    • the difference between peace and silence
    • emotional disconnection
    • self-abandonment
    • truth-telling, honesty, and the courage it takes to step away from what no longer serves you and come back home to yourself
    • reclaim your voice, your joy, and your life

If you’ve ever felt off, unfulfilled, or like something is missing, even if life has been "good enough," this episode is for you.

It’s time to come home. This is a brief discussion of the book Homecoming by Dr. Thema Bryant.

  • #48: Amateur Habits: Upgrade and Turn Pro
    2026/04/15

If someone studied your daily habits, what would they say about you?

In this episode, we’re taking a real, honest look at the difference between amateur habits and professional habits and how those habits are quietly shaping your life every single day.

Inspired by Turning Pro by Steven Pressfield, this conversation challenges you to stop living on autopilot and start showing up with intention. Though making the decision to improve your habits is simple, it's not necessarily easy or comfortable. It requires letting go of excuses, distractions, and comfort in order to step into the version of you that you know you’re meant to be.

    I discuss:

    • The key differences between amateur and professional habits
    • How your daily choices are creating your identity and your future
    • Why motivation isn’t enough and what actually creates lasting change
    • How to start upgrading your habits in a realistic, sustainable way

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the cycle of getting inspired… only to fall back into old patterns, this episode is for you.

And if you’re ready to stop thinking about becoming better and actually start doing it, I invite you to join my 2x22 Challenge.

    We start April 22nd.

You don’t just have habits… you become them.

  • #47: A Rich, Great Life: Make It an Adventure
    2026/04/08

What does it really mean to live a great, rich life?

It’s not all about money. It’s not having a perfect life. And, it’s not something that just happens by accident.

In this episode, we’re talking about how the quality of your life is directly connected to your personal growth, and how becoming a better version of yourself is the gateway to living a more fulfilling, meaningful, and rich life.

If you’ve been feeling stuck in routine, disconnected from your potential, or craving something more (even if you can’t quite name it), this is your invitation to step into something greater.

    We’ll dive into:

    • Why your life gets better when you get better
    • Taking full responsibility for your life (and why it’s empowering, not heavy)
    • Upgrading your identity to match the life you want
    • Building habits that actually support your growth
    • Shifting your perspective and turning your life into an adventure

Maybe the life you want isn’t as far away as it feels…
Maybe it just requires a new way of thinking, showing up, and choosing.

It’s time to stop going through the motions and start living with intention.

    Make your life great.
    Make your life rich.
    Make it an adventure.

  • #46: Stop Avoiding Your Life: Distraction is Holding You Back
    2026/04/01

You’re not stuck. You might just be distracted.

In this episode, we’re getting honest about one of the biggest things standing between you and your greatness: the ways you avoid your own life. From scrolling and busy work to emotional numbing and procrastination, distraction often feels harmless, but over time, it keeps you from doing what actually matters.

Distraction, avoidance, and emotional discomfort keep you from reaching your full potential. Distraction is keeping you busy, not fulfilled.

We’ll break down why you distract yourself, what you’re really avoiding, and how to start facing reality so you can reach your potential, even when it’s uncomfortable. Growth doesn’t come from escaping your life… it comes from stepping fully into it.

Learn how to identify your biggest distractions, build self-awareness, create focus, and take intentional action toward your goals.

If you’re ready for real personal growth, better habits, and a more focused life, this episode is for you.

  • #45: Social Connection is Back (Alright): Starving for Connection
    2026/03/25

What if the reason you feel off isn’t from stress, burnout, exhaustion, or whatever? What if it's from disconnection?

After a powerful conversation in last week’s episode (#44), I couldn’t shake the topic of loneliness and human connection. So, I did a deep dive and summarized a few alarming things for you here.

In today’s world, we are more connected than ever digitally, yet more disconnected than ever as humans. We’re comfortable. We’re entertained. We’re constantly “on,” and still, something is missing.

In this episode, I’m breaking down:

    • Why loneliness is more than just a feeling. It’s a biological signal
    • How comfort and technology have quietly eroded real human connection
    • A critical difference between solitude and loneliness
    • Why connection is essential for your health, growth, and emotional well-being
    • And how reconnecting with others can literally renew your energy and sense of self

If you’ve been feeling isolated, stuck in your head, or craving something deeper, you are not alone. And more importantly, there’s nothing wrong with you.

This conversation is your reminder that connection is not a luxury. It’s a necessity.

And stay until the end. I’m sharing a special announcement about new opportunities to connect, grow, and experience this kind of transformation together (both in-person in Houston and beyond).

  • #44: Thea Curry Fuson on Women's Faith, Leadership, Loneliness, and Community
    2026/03/18

My guest, Thea Curry Fuson, an ordained minister, author, and community-building specialist encourages women and small teams to dream big and empowers them to bring their bold vision to reality.

Using her pastoral experience, along with being real and down-to-earth, Thea recognizes that women, eventhough they might be busy and surrounded by people, are lonely and long for deep connection and community. They're looking for collaboration and real relationships. They're looking for bonding and fulfillment. They're looking to not feel alone.

With God as her center, she guides women into opening the door to possibility for themselves. She says, "God has greater plans" and "The world is a better place when women dare to dream."

Thea is the founder of the "She Believes" women's community which offers encouragement, connection, and accountability. Thea meets people where they are at with a gentle, compassionate, and loving heart.

Ladies, whether you are by yourself or in a room full of people, you are not alone. We are together in spirit, rooting each other on, and Jesus is holding your hand.

  • #43: Christina Sommers on Healing After a Toxic Relationship and the Power of Somatic Breathwork
    2026/03/11

Christina Sommers shared that it's her desire to support women who are coming out of a toxic or abusive relationship, which she has experienced first-hand.

For years, Christina stayed in a relationship that kept her on high alert, where she self-abandoned, her nervous system braced, and she stuffed everything down to keep the peace and make sure her partner's needs were met all while ignoring herself. Living this way long term led Christina to lose herself.

After a head-on collision that put her in a wheelchair for several months, and then choosing divorce to save herself and her child from living in this unhealthy relationship, Christina went on a healing journey.

One major tool that is both powerful and reliable is somatic breathing. Somatic breathwork takes you on a journey which can be both healing and transformative.

This episode doesn't just have countless nuggets or take-aways, it has big lessons and powerful wisdom.

    • "God is going to meet you where you are at."
    • "Our bodies are so wise. It knows what to do."
    • "You hear what you need to hear, not necessarily what is actually said."
    • "Our body won't ever start to release something it's not ready to."
    • "Thank you so much Body for keeping me safe."

    This episode is a must-listen.
