  • God is Writing Your Grown-Up Child’s Story with Pamela Henkelman [72]
    2022/02/07

Being a parent of adult children is a sacred responsibility - and a challenge! But unlike all the wonderful support we had while raising young kids, there are very few people helping us figure this out. My guest, Pamela Henkelman, is here to change that. She helps Christian moms navigate their changing roles with their adult children through intimacy with God. Join us for a conversation about surrendering our adult children, watching our kids go through hard times, letting married children cleave to their spouse, and the new experience of being an in-law. It all comes with this stage of parenting - and we do best by learning to let go and let God.

    In this episode:

    • Let’s normalize times when our kids are wrestling with faith
    • What to do when you regret your parenting missteps in the past
    • Pamela’s own journey of discovering her life purpose

    Guest Bio:
Pamela Henkelman is an enthusiastic encourager with a passion to speak, write, and coach. She believes all of life flows from our loving union with God. She helps Christian moms navigate their changing roles with their adult children through intimacy with God.

  • The Reset Meditation [Bonus for 71]
    2022/01/24

This visualization was first shared in Episode 71. I’m reposting is here as a stand-alone meditation that you can return to whenever you need a reminder to de-stress. Sometimes we let pressure build because we aren’t aware of it until we’re ready to explode. What if we had something to remind us to release the stress before it makes us miserable? Take a break with the Reset Meditation and imagine what it could be like to continually recover and reset to a state of well-being and peace.

  • Release and Reset [Meditation][71]
    2022/01/24

We’re kind of like an Instant Pot – pressure builds up, and we need to release it regularly so we don’t explode into outbursts, illness, and breakdowns. What are your pressure release practices that allow stress and tension to release continually, and keep you out of the danger zone? The first thing is to be aware that stress is growing, and then take time to release it and reset.

    In this episode:

    • In midlife, we deserve extra attention, extra care and extra time to recover from stress.
    • What is the tension trying to tell us?
    • The Reset Meditation (also published as a bonus).
