  • Episode 21: How to manage your romantic relationships with ADHD
    2023/08/30

In this episode, I invited my husband to answer your relationship questions! This is only the first video installation of the series, and I hope you will learn something from us. We are married for almost 5 years but we've been together for almost 10 years now. My husband says that my diagnosis is just a clarification, he already knew even way before we married!

Here are the questions we answered in this episode:

    1. If your relationship is in LDR, what are the things that you should do and how to pursue family in LDR?

    2. How much of the bad moments were due to ADHD? Does it even matter whether it’s due to ADHD in solving conflicts? What negotiations were established in dealing with ADHD together?

    3. What can your love ones do for you to manage your ADHD? Like specifics, do you need help in scheduling, pushing you to do things, words of encouragement and the like.

    4. What are the accommodations for ADHD that your husband makes and how long before these got introduced/developed into your relationship

    5. How do you deal with arguments? Are there instances when you feel like exploding/shouting due to being overwhelmed with intense emotions? Did you ever experience a shouting contest?

    6. Has your husband ever called you lazy/tamad or burara/makalat?

  • Episode 20: Why do we fail to communicate at work?
    2023/05/25

Minsan ang hindi magets ng mga tao na wala namang ADHD is, mahirap para sa atin na hindi masyado magsalita. Yung feeling na parang sasabog na tayo kase we cannot keep our thoughts to ourselves. I think this is also a part of being impulsive - we don’t think about what we say. We are not present at the moment. Kaya words fly by from our mouths then eventually we will regret it.

HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY WE FAIL TO COMMUNICATE BETTER AT WORK:

    1. We talk too much
    2. Poor sense of boundaries
    3. We cannot organize our thoughts
    4. Oversharing - we say too much about ourselves
    5. ADHD minds always wander
    6. We are too straightforward

  • Episode 16: Can you move on from being depressed?
    2022/11/21

Depression is a multi-fold problem: biological, cognitive & behavioral, traumatic experiences in childhood, and worldview. Also what you eat affects your mood.

For people who have depression, according to studies, they don't have a healthy childhood.

Here are a summary of my points on how I overcame my depression:

    1. Radical Acceptance. It is what it is. It is not gaslighting. It is me accepting reality.
    2. Strategy to stop ruminating
    3. Prayers
    4. Finding my purpose in my pain
