    Understanding how trauma affects us is complicated, and the more we know about how it relates to PTSD, the better we can navigate getting treatment for it. But it's not a passive process; we have to take an active role in our own personal healing journey. And we have to encourage those who may need treatment in seeking out support and resources so they can achieve a healthier, happier life.
