Faith Is a Journey is a Christian podcast for people who believe the Bible but struggle to live it out when life gets messy. We're a husband and wife, not pastors or theologians. Every week we open God's Word and have honest conversations about what it really means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

We talk about doubt, marriage, discipline, fear, unanswered prayers, forgiveness, failure, and the gap between what we believe and how we actually live. We simply want to seek God's truth together through His Word. If you're tired of shallow encouragement, church clichés, and conversations that never get below the surface, you're in the right place.

Disclaimer: The conversations on this podcast reflect our personal understanding of Scripture and our own experiences following Christ. They are shared for encouragement and discussion and are not a substitute for your own study of Scripture, wise counsel, or professional advice when needed.

  • The Choices That Built Our Marriage
    2026/08/06

After 26 years of marriage, we've learned that lasting relationships aren't built during the easy seasons. They're forged through loss, hardship, forgiveness, and ultimately by putting Christ at the center.

In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, we share our story of building a Christ-centered marriage through raising a family, building a business together, walking through grief, years of spiritual wandering, and discovering how returning to Christ transformed our lives.

Our prayer is that our journey encourages you in yours and points you toward Jesus.

Scriptures referenced: Matthew 7:24-27, Ecclesiastes 4:12

Note: This episode reflects our personal experiences and opinions after 26 years of marriage. Every relationship is unique. If you're in an abusive or unsafe relationship, please seek appropriate professional help and support.

  • Was I Worshiping God... or People?
    2026/08/01

In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, we share a personal story of rejection within a church ministry and the unexpected lessons God taught us through it. We talk about church hurt, rejection, idolizing people instead of Christ, and how God can use closed doors to lead us in a new direction.

If you've ever felt overlooked, unwanted, or discouraged by people in the church, this conversation is for you. Our hope is that you'll be encouraged to keep your eyes on Jesus, trust God's plan, and remember that your identity is found in Christ not in the approval of others.

Scripture discussed: David, Joseph, Acts, and Jesus' rejection in His hometown.

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for joining us on the journey.

  • The Lesson My Dad Left Behind
    2026/07/30

One faded poem. One faithful father. One lesson I'll never forget.

While cleaning out my parents' home after my father's passing, I found an old framed copy of The Man in the Glass, a poem he kept for years as a daily reminder to live with integrity.

In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, I reflect on what that poem meant to him, the legacy he left behind, and how Scripture takes its message even further. The poem reminds us not to cheat the person we see in the mirror. The Bible reminds us that God sees even deeper, our motives, our hearts, and who we're becoming.

This is a conversation about character, integrity, legacy, and becoming the person God is shaping us to be.

If this episode encouraged you, we'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. What lesson or value did someone in your life leave behind that still shapes you today?

Thanks for joining us on the journey.
