  • S1.E3: The Weekly Scouting Report (How to Fail Properly)
    2026/06/19

You set the rule. You built the guideline. You found your Floor. And then you broke it.

What you do next is everything.

The standard answer is shame. You tell yourself you lack discipline, that you are the kind of person who never finishes what they start, and then you say the most dangerous sentence in personal development: "I will try harder next week."

Trying harder does not fix a broken system. Diagnosing it does.

In this episode, I introduce the Weekly Scouting Report — the feedback loop that separates people who actually change from people who just keep restarting. We go through the five domains of friction that cause most guidelines to break: Environment, Boundaries, Fuel, Re-entry, and Clarity. And I walk you through the exact diagnosis I ran on my own running guideline after it collapsed following a 50-mile race.

    What you'll take away:

    • Why shame is the least effective response to a missed guideline
    • The five domains of friction and how to identify which one broke your system
    • How to run your own Weekly Scouting Report every Sunday
    • The mechanical fix that actually holds up to real life

  • S1.E2: Why Vague Goals Are Garbage (The Binary Rule and The Floor)
    2026/06/19

"I want to save money." "I want to get healthier." "I want to build a business."

Those are not instructions. Those are wishes. And you cannot execute a wish when you're running on three cups of coffee.

In this episode, I introduce the two tools that replace every vague goal you have ever written: the Binary Guideline and the Floor. A Binary Guideline has only two outcomes — you did it or you didn't. No gray area, no negotiation. The Floor is the minimum viable action that keeps the habit alive on your worst days.

I also tell you about the guideline I set for myself that had nothing to do with work, and the night I drove home from Atlanta at 2 AM and still showed up.

    What you'll take away:

    • Why vague goals require a decision every single time and why that kills execution
    • The anatomy of a Binary Guideline: action plus constraint
    • What the Floor is and why it protects your identity, not just your habit
    • How to write both for your Anchor Goal from Episode 1

You have twelve things on your list. They are all urgent. They all matter. And because everything is a priority, you end up on the couch scrolling for two hours.

You aren't lazy. You are drowning in options.

In this episode, I introduce the Anchor Goal — the one non-negotiable win that makes your entire next 90 days a success. We talk about why trying to fix everything at once guarantees you fix nothing, how to identify which of the five life domains needs your premium energy right now, and how I used this exact framework during my own Summer of Erica after leaving Amazon.

This is where the season starts.

    What you'll take away:

    • Why vague, multi-front goal-setting always collapses
    • The five domains of The Season of You methodology: Body, Mind, Soul, Work, and Relationships
    • How to identify your Anchor Goal in under 10 minutes
    • The homework that sets up everything else in the season
