  • Well Done
    2026/07/05

This episode takes on the holy trinity of British summer: vegan food that insists on impersonating meat, the sacred chaos of the back garden BBQ, and restaurants that charge £5.50 for a bowl of chips. Expect socks-in-sandals discourse, smoke-scented laundry, a beetroot burger nobody can tell from the real thing, and a full audit of why bread is suddenly an appetiser.

  • Strawberries, Tantrums and the audacity of beige
    2026/07/03

Don't get comfortable — because it is that time of year. The strawberries are overpriced. The queue started forming yesterday. Someone is already debating whether it counts as rain.

    It's Wimbledon.

Now, I love Wimbledon. I want that on the record before I spend the next fifteen minutes systematically questioning every decision being made there. I have been. It is magical. It is one of the great British experiences, right up there with a proper Sunday roast and the specific satisfaction of a delayed train finally arriving.

But there are things happening at SW19 that I cannot let go without comment. Prize money. Press conference boycotts. The quiet assassination of the chalk line. Players complaining about wearing white. At Wimbledon.

And don't even get me started on the ladies' toilets.

    So settle in.

  • Checkout Chaos
    2026/06/28

Checkout Chaos. Three stories. Three rants. One shared trauma we all have but nobody talks about enough.

Self-service checkouts. How they started as a convenience, became a chore, and are now apparently a job interview.

Instore personal shoppers. The people paid to do your shopping for you, while you try to do your shopping around them.

Common courtesy. Specifically, the fact that it has apparently been discontinued. Like the Wispa Gold. Gone. Vanished. Someone let it expire.

    2026/06/21

Let talk about the World Cup madness; only one named England player, Scotland's hopes and dreams and of course the fact that its being played where they refer to football as "soocer" in whole other times zone; nope time time zones!
