    I’m Back!

This week’s episode: Ep. Four – “Big Life Events & Self-Doubt” is short but sweet! Tune in to get updated on how my MAJOR life event is going and what lessons I’ve learned so far!

We all face major events throughout our lives and during such moments it’s normal to face self-doubt and fear but, what really matters is not that we are presented with adversity but rather how we choose to respond to it.

Please be sure to like this video and subscribe to my channel to stay up-to-date on all the important topics and discussions I am leading to help normalize conversations about mental health and illness throughout our everyday lives.

If you are currently hurting, I hope you find comfort in knowing you are not alone in your struggles and there are plenty of people out there who care about you, love you, and would do anything to help you if they knew you needed it. Sometimes we just have to start an uncomfortable conversation to get the help we need!

Conversations need to be had. Stigmas need to be shattered. So, let’s see what we can do together.

  • Eps. Three - Black Mental Health in America
    2021/02/28

Join me for my first ever interview episode where I sit down with actor, entrepreneur and LA-based fitness instructor, Christopher Pipkin!

Although Chris and I have been very close friends for over 6 years, he and I have never before had a conversation like this one.

In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth Chris provides an intimate look into his experience as a black man growing up in America and how different life events have not only lead him to who he is today, but also how these different experiences have impacted his mental health over the years.

From being born on the East Coast to appearing on your TV in a reoccurring role in Tyler Perry’s If Loving You Is Wrong, Chris has overcome and accomplished a lot already in his life and he is just getting started.

The girls love him. The guys love him. I love him, and soon you will too! So be sure to check out this week’s episode to help continue these important conversations focusing on mental health and the black & brown community!

  • Eps. Two - Self-Love Before Another's Love
    2021/02/14

Now, I don’t know about you but being single in a major city, especially during a pandemic is well… a total bummer. Sprinkle some low self-confidence and mental illness into the mix and you have yourself an good ‘ole fashioned sh*t show. My dating life has been, and continues to be exactly that. Not due to a shortage of great people being out there but rather, I haven’t been ready to find true love because I’ve been unable to love myself.

In today’s episode I open up about my love life and discuss how despite my desire to find my soulmate and settle down, I have been unsuccessful in my pursuit of lasting love because of my low self-esteem and poor mental health. You’re going to want to hear this. I promise.

To all the amazing women out there that I have been fortunate enough to date, regardless of seriousness or duration, this episode is dedicated to you. You have all taught me so much and I have nothing but [friendly] love and respect for each and every single one of you. Thank you for being a part of, and having an impact on my life. I wish you all nothing but love, success, and happiness!

Be sure to check back in next Sunday (2/21) for our first ever INTERVIEW episode, where I will be speaking with one of my closest friends, my brother from another mother, Christopher Pipkin – or, you may know him as Chris P.

Chris is a successful actor, fitness instructor, entrepreneur and all around great guy who always has the most positive and infectious attitude towards life. So naturally, I needed to know just how it is he is able to stay so positive in such cut-throat and (what can be) extremely judgmental and superficial industries. Also, in honor of Black History Month, Chris and I have a candid conversation about his experience as a black man in America and what actions he feels needs to take place in order to achieve lasting change towards equality.

If you enjoyed this episode and haven’t done so already, please be sure like this video and subscribe to my channel to help expand these conversations into more households and headphones!

Conversations need to be had. Stigmas need to be shattered. So, let’s see what we can do together.
