The doll maker finds herself widowed at age 25. A few years later when faced with losing her home, her doll shop and possibly even more, Abigail is forced to question some of her spiritual beliefs.
When the handsome, good-natured Samuel Schrock enters her life, Abigail is further confused. Though legal within the Ordnung to remarry when widowed, Abigail must decide if it is it the right decision for her.
Abigail finds herself not only in love with Samuel, but with another as well, a baby by the name of Eliza Grace who is in need of a loving home.
