このコンテンツについて

Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she’s in a terrible accident...and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can’t feed or dress herself. She can’t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with 24-hour care.

Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victoria’s husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isn’t as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. There’s a story Victoria desperately wants to tell...if only she could get the words out. Then Sylvia discovers Victoria’s diary hidden away in a drawer. And what’s inside is shocking.

I couldn’t stop listening until I reached the ending. My heart kept pounding as if I was watching a thriller movie. I strongly recommend those who like the twists. I would like to put 6 stars!
I appreciate Audible Japan introducing Freida McFadden to Japanese! I became a huge fan of her.

Amazing!

Out of all the narrators who’ve read for Frieda’s books, I am a fan of this narrator. Characters’ emotion is well reflected in the voice, but when she reads men’s narration, it is very sluggish that it sounds unnatural. I’ve never heard a man speaks like that.
In terms of story, it is very flat until almost the end, and I could read without rush, which took me longer to finish compared to her other novels. To me, it was predictable. It is very obvious where the author is leading us to, so you can easily guess.

predictable but still amusing

My face was screwed up the whole time reading. It's not well written. It sounds like it was written so fast and it feels like it has no heart.

If you like basic writing with an easy story for a quick holiday read, then go ahead. I just was expecting something more... a bit of tension at least but it lost me quite quickly, though I did try.

Ive enjoyed many Hallmark movies or quick Netflix one-watches, don't get me wrong, but reading them in book form is quite disappointing.

Audiobook performance is good so it's easy to listen to without missing parts when focusing on something else. The voice actor has a clear voice and it's obvious which character is speaking.

The cliches are on every page.
