あらすじ・解説
In his youth, Josiah Schwartz suffered a disastrous courtship, effectively ending his romantic life. But now, his loneliness cannot be ignored. He promises himself he’ll try one more time to find a woman to court. He settles on Nancy Mast - a nice local widow, kind and steady. Josiah follows his plan and begins courting her, with a promising outcome.
But Josiah doesn’t reckon on running into newcomer Sharon Bontrager - literally. Her ankle is badly injured when she’s spooked by his mare, and she is unable to care for her aenti’s farm. Josiah feels responsible and steps in to help. After no more than a day, he is stunned at the effect Sharon has on him - he’s like a smitten teenager. Yet Sharon is younger by a good 15 years. How could she possibly be interested in him?
And what is Josiah to do about Nancy? It’s obvious she is taken with him. But how can Josiah continue with Nancy, when Sharon has turned his heart and his life upside down?
