THE SCAM GAME is one of a series of card games and communication games that are designed to be both entertaining and stimulate discussion about these topics. They can be played just for fun at a party or to have a serious discussion. The games are based on books and films about scams, prisons, crime, success, current trends, history, and other topics.

The three tales in this audiobook are adapted from stories told by the peasants in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. They are drawn from some books I found in shops when I visited the former USSR in 1988 as part of a citizen diplomacy group. I was intrigued by these folktales, since my paternal grandmother lived for some time in Odessa in the Ukraine. He wishes he might be a German Shepherd, a Pomeranian, a Cocker Spaniel, a Border Collie, a Golden Retriever, a Dachshund, and many other popular dogs. But finally, as his human Rodney takes him exploring in the woods and hugs him, he decides he likes being a Beagle after all.
