Nineteenth century illustrator/author Edward Lear, best known for his nonsense poems and limericks, created this silly verse tale of the green headed, blue handed Jumblies who go to sea in a sieve - but voice actor/storyteller Diane Havens shares it in her own unique faux-British by way of Queens - the New York Queens, that is.

It is probably no surprise that Edward Lear felt the need to make children laugh. He was born in 1812 in North London, youngest-but-one of 21 children. Money problems led to his leaving home at the age of four with an older sister, who looked after him as a mother until she died.

Together with his contemporary, Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear elevated nonsense into a literary genre. Among his many short pieces of verse and narrative fiction is this wonderful tale of a journey into parts unknown by four intrepid young adventurers.
