Love whether fleeting or of the ages, expressed with a look, a touch, or a thought is wanted by us all. Our classic poets did not surrender to the logic of the group or seek advice from others quick to blame but slow to embrace. Their legacy remains because it is true, because in that look, that touch, that thought, that display of words the heart remembers us and treasures us. Here are words and verse of love. For your ears, your loved one’s ears and hearts everywhere.

The language of Poetry is an art that most of us attempt at some point in our lives. Although its commonplace exposure has been somewhat marginalised in today’s often fast-paced lives we all recognise good verse that can empathise with our thoughts or open us up to experience new things in new ways, to better understand and to enjoy the many strands of our lives.

The Fall of Hyperion is an unfinished visionary epic that was begun in 1819 as a revision of Keats's earlier poem Hyperion. Framed as a dream-vision, it follows a poet-narrator who wanders into a mysterious garden, eats and drinks at a sacred feast, and finds himself transported to a decaying temple. There he meets the veiled goddess Moneta, priestess of fallen memory, who forces him to confront his own worth as a poet before revealing to him—through visions within the dream—the story of the Titans' overthrow by the Olympian gods.

The poem elaborates on the original story and renames Selene "Cynthia" (an alternative name for Artemis). The poem is written in rhyming couplets in iambic pentameter (also known as heroic couplets). Keats dedicated this poem to the late poet Thomas Chatterton. The poem begins with the famous line "A thing of beauty is a joy for ever". (Summary by Alan Mapstone and Wikipedia)
