Vaz is the story of Vaz Gettnor, a socially impaired yet scientifically brilliant man. However, she's been disappointed by the way he's settled for working as no more than a glorified lab tech with a low salary.

Of these twelve short stories by science fiction master Stanislaw Lem, only three have previously appeared in English, making this the first “new” book of fiction by Lem since the late 1980s.
