This talk is very general, and is relevant to all sorts of addictions. As a recovery speaker, Bob Earll was sort of a Swiss Army knife. His message fit Alcoholics Anonymous, as well as Adult Children of Alcoholics. Though an Alcoholic, the drug addiction part of his alcoholism enabled him to speak to Narcotics Anonymous. This talk is at a Cocaine Anonymous event, and his opiate use would have qualified him to speak to Heroin Anonymous.

Texas humorist Jim Williams talks about the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. If you don't like "God Talk", this is probably not the steps set for you. Lots of funny stories to laugh along with. Wynn Laws is the author of the Big Book Story: Freedom from Bondage, 4th Edition on Page 544. This recording is very much in the spirit of her story in Big Book, but much more, she gives more detail and tells other stories about sobriety. She talks about her institutional work. Wynn pioneered work in California women's prisons. At the time of this talk (1973), her mother is living with her. Her mother is the person she had the difficulty removing resentment against. At the time of talk, they were happily living together.

Frank has a great message about getting sober and being a happy, effective AA member while sponsoring and helping others.

Very popular in her day, Ramona B, gives a great talk. The stories she tells of trying to fix her husband Bob are full of the wisdom of experience, strength and hope; served up with a generous helping of Rule 62 humor. She has a very powerful Al-Anon message that is very popular with alcoholics.
