Wynn pioneered work in California women's prisons. At the time of this talk (1973), her mother is living with her. Her mother is the person she had the difficulty removing resentment against. At the time of talk, they were happily living together.

Much of the humor is based in coming from Southern Baptist culture and finding sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous. A serious message wrapped in a hilarious delivery.
