  • Episode 34: The Practice of Sabbath Rest
    2024/04/24

Practice makes perfect... or does it? In this week's episode, we talk through what Sabbath is. What does it mean? Where does it come from? Did God actually rest?

Sabbath rest often looks different for every person. What Sabbath means for one person could be vastly different from another. Abraham Heschel, a rabbi, said, "If you work with your hands, sabbath with your mind. If you work with your mind, sabbath with your hands."

We share practical examples for what resting looks like for us and what it looks like when we don't rest and retreat for a day, a week, or even a few hours each week.

What does your Sabbath look like? Do you practice rest? Remember - there are no rules, but rest is a command.

Remember to leave us a 5-star rating, that's the best way to spread the word about You Are More Podcast!
