  • 135: Why You’re Exhausted and What the Vertical Has to Do With It
    2026/08/19

Have you noticed you’re more tired lately?

Not just physically tired. Deep tired. The kind of tired that comes from constantly thinking, planning, anticipating, fixing, helping, producing, and trying to make sure nothing falls apart.

For so many Latinas and women of color, we’ve learned how to be the strong one. We carry our families. We build careers and businesses. We manage the money, the relationships, the responsibilities, and somehow we’re also supposed to process everything happening in the world around us.

And yes, that strength has gotten us far.

But what if the version of strength that got you here is actually exhausting you now?

In this episode, I talk about the deeper kind of exhaustion so many of us are experiencing and introduce the difference between the HORIZONTAL and the VERTICAL. I share why reconnecting with yourself, your intuition, your values, and your inner knowing can help you find your strength again.

    I talked about:

    • Why we feel exhausted from constantly doing, achieving, and taking care of everyone
    • The difference between living in the HORIZONTAL and connecting to the VERTICAL
    • Why your nervous system wants evidence before you believe something is possible
    • How to connect with the VERTICAL in every day life
    • Why action without connection to yourself can become exhaustion

3 Ways to Come Back to Your Strength

    1. Spend more time in the VERTICAL.

Give yourself at least 10 minutes every day to get quiet, step away from your phone and distractions, and connect with yourself. You can meditate, journal, focus on your breath, take a slower walk, listen to music, or pray.

Ask yourself: Who do I get to be today?

    2. Stop requiring evidence before you believe.

Notice when your brain automatically asks, "Where's the proof that this is going to work?" Instead, practice believing in the possibility before you can see the path.

Ask yourself: What possibility am I refusing to believe in because I can't see the path yet?

    3. Choose one brave action.

You don't have to figure everything out at once. Choose one small physical action that moves you forward. Make the call. Send the email. Apply for the position. Post the video. Register for the class. Have the conversation. Create the boundary.

One action tells your nervous system: We're moving forward

Your strength has always been there. You just haven't been looking for it in the VERTICAL as much.

  • 134: You’re Getting More Right Than You Think
    2026/07/29

Do you end your day thinking, "I didn't do enough today," instead of recognizing everything you did well?

As women, especially Latinas and women of color, we're often quick to celebrate everyone else's accomplishments while minimizing our own. We downplay our wins, move the finish line every time we reach a goal, and convince ourselves that what we're doing "isn't enough."

In this episode, I share the research behind why so many women struggle to give themselves credit, how our brains are wired to focus on what's missing, and why acknowledging your progress isn't arrogance. It's one of the most powerful ways to build confidence, strengthen self-trust, and become a more effective leader.

    I talked about:

    • Why women often undervalue themselves, even when they're performing just as well as men
    • How self-evaluation impacts confidence, career growth, and leadership
    • Why your brain naturally focuses on what's missing instead of what's working
    • The importance of collecting evidence of your progress instead of constantly moving the finish line
    • How celebrating small wins helps build self-confidence and resilience
    • The difference between giving yourself credit and toxic positivity
    • Why self-recognition is a leadership skill, not an ego exercise
    • A simple daily practice to help you build confidence and trust yourself more

    Key Lessons

    1. Give yourself credit for what you're getting right.
There are more things you're doing correctly every single day than your brain is giving you credit for. Learning to acknowledge them isn't just self-care. It's part of becoming a really powerful leader.

    2. Confidence is built by recognizing the evidence of who you're becoming.
You cannot continue to erase your own progress and then wonder why you don't feel confident. Confidence isn't built only by accomplishing bigger things. It's built by recognizing the evidence of who you are becoming day in and day out.

    3. The brain needs evidence.
Your brain needs proof that things are moving in the right direction. The more you notice what you're getting right and document your wins, the more evidence you collect that supports new beliefs about yourself.

    4. Stop moving the finish line.
If you only allow yourself to feel proud when everything is finished, you'll never really feel proud of yourself. Celebrate yourself while you're climbing the mountain, not just when you reach the top.

    5. Give yourself credit every single day.
Ask yourself: What did I get right today? What did this require from me? What does this show me about who I am becoming? These questions help you connect your daily actions to your identity and remind you that you're getting more right than you think

    Try This Practice

At the end of your day, ask yourself these three questions:

    1. What did I get right today?
    2. What did that require from me?
    3. What does this show me about who I am becoming?

Over time, this simple practice helps you collect evidence of your growth, strengthen your self-belief, and shift the way you see yourself.

  • 133: What Happened After the Viral Reel, and How to Find Yourself Again, Even Through Betrayal
    2026/07/14

What happens when one painful moment changes everything you thought you knew about your marriage, your voice, and yourself?

Many of you saw the reel that went viral after I was asked to leave a family gathering because of a T-shirt I wore. What most people didn't see was everything that happened afterward.

In this episode, I open my heart and share the deeply personal journey that followed, from discovering broken trust inside my marriage to questioning my own intuition and rebuilding my relationship with myself.

This isn't a story about having all the answers. It's about what it looks like to move through betrayal without abandoning yourself, to choose healing over bitterness, and to keep leading even while you're still finding your way.

If you've ever experienced betrayal, struggled to trust yourself again, or wondered how to move forward after life changes everything, I hope this conversation reminds you that healing and leadership can exist at the same time.

    In this episode, I shared:

    • The story behind the viral reel and what really happened after it
    • How one moment exposed deeper fractures within my marriage and family
    • What betrayal taught me about authenticity, boundaries, and belonging
    • Why self-trust often breaks before trust in others can be rebuilt
    • How therapy, coaching, transformational work, and community became part of my healing
    • Why we don't have to wait until we're fully healed to continue leading
    • How I turned one of the hardest seasons of my life into a deeper commitment to serving my community
    • How Yes Mujer You Can Live Event was born from this season of healing and transformation
    Three Lessons That Changed Everything

    1. Be fully yourself, even if it makes other people uncomfortable.
I realized I had spent years making myself smaller to keep the peace. Real freedom began when I stopped seeking acceptance and started choosing authenticity.

    2. Use your pain as fuel to elevate your life.
The hardest seasons of your life don't have to stop you. They can become an opportunity to elevate yourself, serve others, and create something bigger than the pain itself.

    3. Rebuilding trust starts with yourself.
Before we can rebuild trust with anyone else, we have to reconnect with our own intuition, values, and inner knowing.

This experience is why I created Yes Mujer You Can, a live event happening in Downtown Los Angeles on September 13, 2026. A space for us to come together, to remember how powerful we really are.

If you're navigating change, rebuilding trust in yourself, or simply looking for a room where you don't have to carry everything alone, I'd love for you to join us. Together, we'll explore leadership, healing, business, and the kind of transformation that lasts long after the event ends.
