In the pilot episode of this dark mystery thriller, we are introduced to four vastly different characters, Christa Hendrickson, Jerry "Cap" Capacino, Kevin Schneider, and Special F.B.I. Agent Mary Ann Dobson, and the central story involving the missing teenager, Amanda Fuller, who was abducted from her local carnival.

In Part 2, Christa decides to meet with both a powerful new character, Cardinal James Kramer of the Effigies For Ignatius (EFI) organization, who provides some insight into her already-precarious situation and a mysterious woman who might be someone closer to her than she may initially think.

In Part 3, Christa's situation starts to get dangerous as her best laid plans begin to unravel. She also meets with the mysterious woman again hoping for some elusive answers. Judy Fuller makes her unhappiness known to Kevin. Meanwhile, Cardinal James makes a call.

In the shattering season 1 finale, Kevin reveals some hard truths to the increasingly vulnerable Christa. Cardinal James announces a new direction. Christa finds solace in finally interviewing Mary Ann Dobson...or does she? And we finally hear the rest of Jerry Capacino's "lost" interview with Kevin. Finally, a new opportunity appears over the horizon that will change everything.
